This is one of the most positive upbeat motivational songs in music history! I’m so glad I rediscovered it while watching a 1980’s American Bandstand episode.

The song actually went to #40 on Billboard but has never been on any greatest hits of live record ever, this album is the only place where it is

It's not their best song and I almost felt like they were following the 80's trend of branding the pop culture. It's not a bad song and has grown on me over the years. It is better than some of the stuff today.

#40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Not bad for a song that was pretty obviously a throw away to entice people on the fence to buy Caught in the Act. I suspect Dennis DeYoung might also have been responding to people who thought Kilroy Was Here was pretentious.

the music video of this song is on the dvd of this concert, released back in 2007. It is definitely a 1980s music video, for sure....Bizarre animation, like claymation but not, in so areas. The song is great though.

First off I agree with all the comments from this video. I'd like to add that Styx was making a joke also it was the one new song from a live album. A total piss take. Now with that being said this is what happens when you call a band dinosaur rock. Rockers get prickly and try to give you a little Devo New Wave sound. If you break it down it has a great chorus and hooks and essentially dead lyrically through the verses. It's like all they had was the try it do it pre chorus and the music time chorus and said screw the rest lol

People criticize "Babe" for it's Manilow-ness. Babe was a great song. Was it right for Styx? Maybe-maybe not. Dennis could've let another artist record it, but honestly, I don't think anyone else would have made as fine a record of it. THIS song, however is just crap. I can't believe Dennis wrote this, let alone took the time to record it. Doesn't sound at all like anything else Styx ever recorded. It's like you said..Devo… with a "What I Like About You" guitar riff. It's like if Square Pegs had a soundtrack.

This song sounds extremely similar to "Rock Around the Symbol" by Jo Jo Gunne. If you like "Music Time," you should check out that one too.

The song that basically broke up Styx. Tommy Shaw HATED the song and left the group. Was only reformed when it was agreed Dennis DeYoung was NOT to be part of the group

It wasn't really the song be hated. Dennis DeYoung kept calling the shots. He was a bully and a control freak. Dennis DeYoung also had resentment over the other members for providing more with writing and wanted full control. In all fairness, Dennis is a talented songwriter and musician, but his style was getting old and they wanted to branch out to different directions and styles of music.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Styx reformed in 1990 with all the members except Shaw(who was replaced by Glen Burtnik), then again in 1995 with Shaw. They did two tours in 1996 and 1997 and released a new album in 1999, all with DeYoung and Shaw being part of the group..

Yeah. If it wasn't a Styx song no one would care. DDY is in great form vocally, but it really sounds like he is being sarcastic, giving the world what it wants but in a way that mocks. It has the worst of early 80s pop written all over it. For a guy who started out wanting to sound like the Beatles it would make sense, and would explain even more why the more introspective Tommy Shaw would not have liked it - he was not a sarcastic person. Ultimately a misfire for sure.
