It's about time we had a good Indian military channel for explaining these things

The reasons this type of wing isn’t used is because of stability and structural issues. These issues would be easily mitigated with more modern composites utilizing nanotechnology, along with exotic methods like active aeroelastic wing mechanisms, active flutter suppression and gust load alleviation. Might as well add crazy stuff like fluidic thrust vectoring, electrohydrodynamic thrust vectoring through plasma actuators, magneto hydrodynamic thrust vectoring, and thermal-acoustic thrust vectoring. Less moving parts, less weight, and extreme supermaneuverability.

In forward swept wings, wing bendings are prevelant during the high angle of attack. This is an inherent design flaw which hindered the design adoption for further development.

No. The instability due to vibration (aerodynamic term: unstable during the stall) of “forward swift wings” was the reason. There were also some F-16 with “forward swift wings” in 1980’s.

The Su-47 Berkut is very capable in terms of it's maneuverability in subsonic speeds. But this design doesn't allow for optimal super sonic flight as seen in traditional aircraft designs with the Su-35 with thrust vectoring. But Russia & Sukhoi have restarted to fly since UAV's in 6th Gen Combat that will fly alongside other aircraft with AI will benefit from a swept wing design and be maneuverable at subsonic speeds.

What? In what place? Russians have entirely different school of plane and tank building
