I’m finding several wooden sub blanks for keychains, ornaments, ets. Can you please advise on them?
@AngieHolden

They are usually a wood look but are actually plastic. They should be similar to the metal ones shown here but you will need to follow the time and temperature recommendations on the blank.

Your video is awesome. My problem is that everything is turning out very yellow. Everything else I am using is what you suggested when I set up my Sub printer. Any thoughts on how I can get the results to be less yellow?

Does your black look green? That would indicate that you are underbaking your project. You can also try ICC profiles if you think you need color correction. kzitem.info/news/bejne/uqeNm2VvcpWWgpg

Do you have a video for sublimating both sides of a ceramic ornament? I did one and the 2nd side showed all the tape marks. I did a 2nd and 3rd one without tape and it worked well but I had to hold completely still for 4 mins using my heat press. I assume there must be a better way?

Hi Angie, I've been sublimating all day with a number of problems. The metal blanks were fine. I was doing ceramic car coasters and they came out terrible! The color was off, I tried less time, less pressure and different sub paper. No luck. I also did some wood ornaments, they also were ok. I'm using a converted Epson ET-4700 and Hippo ink. I also have that pad for under the ceramic blanks, but not the rubber one you used on top. I went on KZitem to see what the temp and time that I should use. 190 seconds and 385 degrees. They also said to ad 30 more seconds for each additional blank. Those ceramic car coasters aren't cheap and I have an order for 8 of them and I ruined 7! Can you please tell me what I may be doing wrong.
@AngieHolden

First of all, I would look for exactly the instructions where you purchased the blanks. For instance, for sandstone car coasters I found this note at my supplier: An 1/8" green pad needs to be used for edge to edge, full bleed designs and 1 minute of time needs to be added if using the pad. Their time and temperature is also different from yours. There are many varieties of those car coasters and you really need to try exactly what is recommended by the place you purchased those.

When you use a tile is there one side better than the other or is it ok to print on the shiny surface. Also if I have a Cricut heat pad does that work instead of the pad you mention?

If both sides have a sublimation coating, it doesn't matter which you use. I think the Cricut heat pad would work but I have not tried it!
