I am convinced at this point that the big reason why people get so discouraged during the process is because we go into it with only the memories of w/d from short acting opiods/opiates. Nobody, no matter what they have ever read or heard, really believes that a w/d could last so much longer than what they had been through so many times before. I tried to go into my detox (26 days today) knowing that this would be long, rough, and DIFFERENT...and it absolutely has been. Nothing could have prepared me. But I want ME back bad enough to stick it out as long as it takes. No more steps back...only forward and upward. Thanks for your videos Mike

Jumped off of 4 mg. My opinion there isnt much of a difference. Once you get under 2 mg you’re just dragging it out 🤷🏼♂️

I'm still in it. Day 55 now and finally bounced back after that uncalled for setback with my surgery. I went through some withdrawal again, but I'm feeling good now. Back to running daily and working out. Work has been much easier and not so exhausting. The only thing I have noticed is that I still feel emotionless. I just feel blank. Which I'm okay with, but my partner would like me to be a normal person with feelings... I hardly focus on the process now, but just wanted to check in and give an update. Best of luck man.

+mike s. thanks for responding! Much appreciated. So glad to hear ur still going strong. I'm just starting my experience after being on it for 8 years and then 8 years before suboxone on painkillers mainly. so such a long time. It can be scary, but vids like yours make it seem at least almost bearable to deal with. Thanks for the support. Definitely will take your tips to help myself through this process. I've been antisocial myself. so many years being numbed and then not. It has to be a process to learn to be social sober again lol. But am giving this my best shot because I'm so done with how suboxone made me feel. I'm sick right now a few days into it. Just going to stick with it. As bad as it already is. I know eventually it has to get better.

It does get better, I promise you that. Try not to dwell on the day to day improvement as you wont see much, but the week to week improvement, that is where you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. If I can help, let me know.

mike s. Thanks so much Mike I'm actually doing better now had a relapse on the crap and quickly stopped again. Realizing how much I'd already went thru. But its getting better past the physical part but probably not near 50% yet. Hoping the depression crap goes away soon. Been trying to eat as best as possible. It does make a difference. Sorry I'm just seeing your response. Haven't gotten on much. So glad to see you 7+ months off. That's awesome.

im doing great! started a slow taper as of 4/1...down to about 8mg now. slow and steady for me I think is going to be best for me but the jump from about 10mg to 8mg was a walk in the park. I expect this shit to get real once I get below 4mg. thanks for asking 👍
@mikes.7488

LeeshaC88 keep it slow and you will be ok. it does get a little tougher towards 2mg but it was usually bearable for me. just stay where you are until you feel better, then drop more. skipping days towards the end also seems to work for a lot of people. I was only skipping 1 day at a time and then jumped. just go at your own pace until you are under 1mg. glad to hear you are tapering, keep your mental positive and you will make it

Mike, really appreciate all the videos, they are a warm welcome. Curious how long you tapered for in total, I know you said .25 mg the last 2 weeks. But what about once you got below the 4mg? You’re right that’s when it gets mentally tough. Down to 1mg now, trying to get to .25mg daily or every other. What were your hardest days? I’m planning to take a week off work and want to have it planned right. Thanks bro! These vids are still paying dividends 🤙🏼

Taxin 24/7 I am very against kratom actually. I tried to use it and it gave me some nasty withdrawal symptoms. I always advise against it. I try to advise against all types of crutches when trying to get through w.d especially kratom, benzos, etc

I used Kratom @ first , it was a god send. Went a week cold an I was flippin out.Got the Kratom , for about 3 weeks I was taking 3mg twice a day , week 4 I dropped to 1mg twice a day. Then I cut the morning out & 1mg @ night,then.5. Here I am @ 72 days & 5 days no Kratom.I felt really no withdraw from the Kratom.An the Kratom helped me big time. If used right I highly recommend.

@wattvoltamp

@@mikes.7488 I tapered for 2 years. From 16 to 2 was pretty quick with no withdrawal. From 2 to .2 I reduced about 6% a week. Sometimes I made it 2 weeks. Started The withdrawal. When I was on .2 for a week I jumped off.

Kratom really does help you know the comment about it being addicting caffeine addictive and there's withdrawal symptoms from drinking coffee everyday Red Bull cigarettes even eating junk food but it's all about getting to the Lesser evil sometimes so that once you get to that point then you're able to drop that habit Kratom withdrawals is nowhere near anything like suboxone withdrawals I have withdrawn from benzos opiates and even have alcohol withdrawals and I swear those times were terrible but suboxone last and last and then when you think it's done and you think the next day is going to be better it's still kicking your ass but I'm on day 30 now and if you dose Kratom properly it will help you succeed I don't recommend staying on Kratom though but when you break your leg and you're waiting on it to heal you got to start letting it heal by laying down then you start exercising it a little bit and you might need a crutch to walk on it getting off of Suboxone it's kind of like breaking both your legs take baby steps

the nasty taste doesn't bother me but from what I hear all over KZitem is that it's a godsend it's getting us comfortability when we get off subs and I know I won't be able to handle the withdrawals once I'm off Suboxone
@mikes.7488
7 жыл бұрын
Cheryl Miller you really will be able to handle it. I really had the same thoughts before I jumped and expected it to be so much worse then it was. You need to go through it though if you really want to be able to stay off of them. Kratom might ease the pain but at a cost, the cost is more withdrawal, from the kratom and let me tell you it is not mild. Kratom gave me withdrawal without a doubt. Honestly, it is the subs that are making you scared to jump, they are telling your brain you won't be able to do it. But you can. If I did it, anyone really can.
@mikes.7488

Cheryl Miller the only thing I would recommend is exercise and music. Those two helped the most. I know it feels like the last thing you want to do it move around but you need to release those natural endorphins, excessive will do that for you. It made me feel almost 100% afterwords for quite a bit. Feeling bad, do a few sets of push ups or sit ups, I guarantee you will feel great for a bit after.
