I know this is an older video but just wanted to share. I was put on suboxen by my actual doctor after getting off pain meds due to a coma. I lost my insurance last month, work have a husband, 2 kids and a heart condition which has made it scary for me. I'll be honest I'm not a cryer and don't show much emotion but I cry at the drop of a hat atm. Now n then I feel okay but I just have these moments of defeat. It can tear you down so much. Esp your spirit. I'm not hungry but I feel empty. I can't even explain it. I'm scared to death! I just wanted to share and tell u how proud I am of you. You gave me such a better feeling about this and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

That's a great inspiration to me, Amanda. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I had that very same feeling for months. It was like the first 8 days took away 50% of the struggle and the other 50% took months to go away. I would go places and feel like I was just a body filling a space. I would talk to people and think to myself "I don't care about this conversation and I want to go home." It was weird and uncomfortable. I realize now that I had to go through that experience to get to this point. I have almost 2 years clean and quitting subs was the best decision I've ever made. I believe in you< Amanda. I hope you're still clean and doing well.

I cannot keep taking something every day to make myself feel normal then live with the panic that comes with an upcoming vacation, business trip, etc.and not knowing if you'll be able to get enough medicine to last. Tammy Rogne I'm also at the 48 hour mark. I slept 4 hours, and now here I am, on KZitem, at 7am. The body aches, and anxiety is pretty rough. But, this is NOTHING like coming off of opiates. Maybe the worst is yet to come... He mentions that day 4-5 are the worst. Im on day 3. I'm prepared for this. I've got this! I have to make my CDL's to solidify my future. The laws have changed now, and they won't accept anyone on Suboxone. I remember days 2-4 being the worst, when coming off of opiates cold turkey. Since the half life of Suboxone is longer, I expect days 4-6 to be the worst with this. I relapsed 4 times after quitting opiates. I would always go 2-4 months of being clean, then the no sleep, no energy thing would just get the best of me. The first week of withdrawal is tough, but it's NOT the hardest part. The weeks, and months following the initial withdrawal period prove to be the hardest times for me. You get very impatient. You feel like you should be normal by now. The reality is... It takes time. Possibly a YEAR, to get back to "normal".

This video is helping me cope. I am on day 5 and I was only taking 4 mg per day. I know a lot of others that were taking 8-24 mg. And they really went through it. I agree 100 percent with walking and taking vitamins. It is funny to me that I was addicted to H for 3 years and took Subutex for 6 years. The withdraws from the Heroin were gone in 5 days but I felt a relapse coming so I went the Dr. Now I have no cravings and felt it was time to quit cold turkey. It sucks but manageable. I paid leave from work so that helps. I physically don’t feel that bad, other than no energy. For me it is messing with my head bad. I think the Klonopin the doctor prescribed it helping some. Keep it together bro.

If you’re going to take kratom, good luck. Withdrawals were worse for me than subs. Might last less, but you’ll still be fucked. Just hop off everything if you really want to quit. Kratom will leave you addicted and helpless if they ban it. I’ve been on Roxie’s, subs, and kratom. Kratom was the worst withdrawal for me, putting me right back into rehab for the second time. This is your warning. Take it to get off subs for a short period of time or you’ll absolutely hate your life. Best of luck.

I used Nyquil (nighttime extra strength) and Kratom (red vein) to get off suboxone. It helped, but the worst part is the depression, the diarrhea and the chicken skin, hot and cold spells, you're freezing one second and sweating the next but you're still cold. And you can't stand speaking to anyone. So you need to take some time off of work.

I see so many people comment on suboxone withdrawl videos about how horrible it is, etc. Then I see that the people who leave those comments say that they "only" were taking 4mg or something like that. People, 4mg is a huge dose. You have to taper over a long period of time, like 4 months if you begin your taper at 2mg a day, and get down to taking .25mg or even .125mg a day for a couple of weeks at least. Then, make your jump. Even jumping at that low of a dose you're going to suffer restless limbs and insomnia for a while. But, the withdrawl after a long, steady taper isn't near as bad as quitting a full-agonist opiate. I'm going to be posting my own suboxone withdrawl video shortly to encourage anyone out there that needs to know it can be done and it's not as horrible as you hear about so often.

April Preece Did you do it? I was just so sick and tired of being dependent on the subs. My life and attitude had changed so dramatically and in a negative direction that I had to do something. Have you jumped off yet? I believe in you, April. You can do this!
@ECP90
6 жыл бұрын
Yes using codeine will help but there's a few issues. It can cause you to want to continue to use after it's gone. Leading to full blown relapse. It shouldn't be used for more than four days. Cause after that dependence will begin. You will want to use as little doses as you can. You will also want to ween down to a half a milligram of sub otherwise the codiene might not even work. You will also want to wait at least a full day too in order to start taking it. You will have to be very strong mentally to not want to use more after you're done. If you're below one milligram taking some codeine will help you get over the hump for sure. If you're taking over one? Don't even bother and just continue Weening down. Cause if you're taking too much the codiene will be blocked first of all and second you won't be in full blown withdrawal till about day four or five because of the blood serum level build up. Some people who are on 8+ DONT get full blown withdrawal until day six or even seven!! But on a lower dose of 1mg or less the full blown withdrawal should hit about day three or four. Possibly day two but It depends on the individual.

I agree with you totally...i'm coming off of 9 years of suboxone use and weaned down to 1/4 of a 2 mg and then went to the injections. They were supposed to last a month, they lasted about 2 days. It's beyond awful. I hope you're doing okay now...

Thanks for the video, I jumped off 24 mg for 2 years no taper. I’m at day 11 I have been to hell and I think I’m on my way back. Day 9 I felt a lot better. But now day 10 and 11 all symptoms full on. But I’m not gonna crack I couldn’t endure this again. I want to share something that I for some reason felt I needed during this and has helped a lot. I have a gas outdoor fire pit. I light it and sit by it and my symptoms go away. So needless to say I have been doing it a lot. The flames seem to stimulate my brain. Sounds crazy but If you have the means to try it, I would. Hoping day 12 gives me a little relief. I pray for all who are enduring this hell. Suboxone is the devil

Damn. I take a bunch of kratom and can go days without it. I took kratom for a full month once and when it ran out I was fine. I mean kratom is awesome compared to suboxones. I just got a lil depressed without but nothing that exercising can't help with. Does kratom withdrawals give hot flashes? Because that is the worse I think from coming off subs

Lopermide is technically an opiate, however it does not cross the Blood-brain barrier like traditional opiates. This means it won't get you high, despite this though it will elevate withdrawal symptoms when taken in dosages that far exceed the recommended dose.

Awesome vid first and foremost must give kudos. For those asking how this can be done I made a very tailored tapering schedule that consisted of lowering the dose 2mg every week. The half life of this medication is 24 to 72 hours (I say for an average metabolism hour 28 is a half life peak just my opinion) your body will not recognize the drop in medication abruptly which is the beauty. I was on 24mg to 32mg a day for prescribed opiate usage of 200mg Oxy and 300mg tramadol which Is bad I know and I could not stand being a slave to this medication; I found myself questioning why I went from the other meds to this but it was a necessary step. If you can slowly taper the withdrawal will honestly not be unbearable and it can be done. I recognize everyone is different and some may be more sensitive then others to tapering but its discipline and will take willpower but you cannot freak at the slightest sign of withdrawal it will pass in time.

6 жыл бұрын
@@barrydavies7327 I'm off completely thanks for asking. I completely agree with you, it was absolute overkill. Some doctors OVER PRESCRIBE the crap out of it and that's exactly what was happening. The ceiling dose in a 24 hour day is less than that so it was pumping more of that shit in my body then what was needed by a long shot. How are you maintaining on the Sub?
@rossrcfallacaro3422

Katy Y what was your taper plan? Just 2mg drops down to zero?
@phily8756
5 жыл бұрын
@@rossrcfallacaro3422 so when I dropped to 2mg the body definitely realized it I had to maintain 2mg for 5 days to adjust then I dropped to just shy of 1 mg and then I jumped off. The withdrawal wasnt horrible until I reached that 2mg threshold and it caught up with me. I had to do some soul searching before I convinced myself that its better to be done rather than go from 1mg to .5 so i jumped at 1 mg and it will take a good week or two to feel normal and for the old behavior to die down the looking for pills all the old addict behavior.

Al Marzacci my experience is that it took 7-8 days to get through the most painful part of the withdrawals. After that everything else was bearable. It probably took a few months to get back to 100%. But it wasn’t painful and miserable after the initial 8 days. It’s was the occasional bout of lethargy or rls on occasion. It’s doable.
