What's up guys, Derrick here coming at y'all with another video today. Today this may be one of the most serious videos I ever decide to post on here and I wanted to talk today about my experiences on success and how it relates to depression! I haven't been very active on KZitem (still more active posting videos and replying to comments than most KZitemrs) as I usually am because I've had to take a step away from working so hard........long story short I've gotten burnt out. I've been borderline obsessive over these new milestones and new goals that I've not really allowed myself to be human and the direct result of that has caused me to start feeling depressed. I'm very thankful to have figured that out as quickly as I have, so I can begin doing things that I love like playing video games, working out, going out and just being social and fun loving like I used to do. I'm always the type of person to make the best of a bad situation so it's very easy for me to put off real issues and dismiss things that need to be changed in my life, so I just wanted to share with you guys my feelings.
Over the past few weeks I've noticed changes in my personality and my body:
-It was becoming increasingly harder to find motivation to post videos or network.
-I was constantly tired
-My face had started breaking out
-I had no desire to work
-Weight gain
And the list goes on and on, and something I'm having to teach myself is that it's okay for me to be human, and it's okay to sometimes take a step away from the task at hand in name of being a sane human-being.
I want to give a special thanks to Garrett Grimm, Taylor Sukert, Sherry Cohen, Adrian Balzly and my mom for talking some sense into my during this uncomfortable time.
