Matt Osman is such an underrated member, his note choice is always flawless and he's always writing melodic lines, even on the rockier stuff he never just sticks to the route notes but tries to be as melodic as possible, I've lost count of the amount of times I've (quite rightly) read Bernard Butler get a huge amount of praise but I've never once ever read Matt Osman get any credit, and it's a total travesty

Blur is pretty great, too. They had a few really obnoxious hits during the period (Girls and Boys, Parklife, Country House, Stereotypes), but if you can get past that, there's also a ton of great ballads that rival Suede's output (This Is A Low, The Universal, Battery In Your Leg to name my favorites). I also love the entire 13 album. I used to love Pulp, but these days I'd rank them a distant 3rd. Oasis do absolutely nothing for me. Just my 2 cents ofc.

Suede was a pretty unique band coming out from the Britpop era while they have sth of Radiohead and sth of Oasis or you can say they are nothing like any of those major band in Britpop era, however they are prob the most creative one in terms of pop music, Radiohead are too far fetched to consider as pop after Kid A . Osman's bass was the highlight of the whole song. Brilliant.

@@glenbaker8412I think 94 was a funny year for music grunge officially died with Kurt Cobain but instead of embracing already established British guitar bands people put Oasis on a pedestal and their easily accessible terrace chants songs while absolute classics like Dog Man Star and The Holy Bible sold poorly……doesn’t pay to be to clever sometimes.
