I actually just buy the peony stamen. They have so many that I haven't made time to make them by hand 😅

Beautiful Flower. Thank You for sharing your talent. How long does it take you to make 1.

Hey, thank you! ❤️ this one is so easy, just time consuming. I’d say this specific one.....about 3hrs??? I’m a terrible judge of time bc I get distracted easily 🙈. But that’s my best guess.

Beautiful!! Thank you!! What is the recipe for your 'flour paste'? Is it flour paste or flower paste? Yours is so tough and is it dry when you're pushing the leaves and petals? Are they flexible when dry? My gum paste is so breakable and delicate when dry. I'd love to try your recipe, please share it!!

Thank you! My recipe does stay flexible if there is humidity in the air. It’s similar to cold porcelain except that it’s edible and will get hard if it’s super dry in the climate. You can find the recipe course on my site: www.fivetwobaker.com

Hi Amelia, did you get an answer to your question. I’m also wondering how this flower is flexible with flower paste??

Can you share what color (and brand) you used for this flower? TIA
@FiveTwoBaker
3 жыл бұрын
Of course. The flower is a mix of crimson red, with some tiny dabs of black and brown to darken it further. It takes quite some food color to get it a dark color, and you'll need to let it set up a bit bc it will be much softer after so much kneading. They're all wilton brand. But then I color dusted it with "Elite Color Kiko" from Global Sugar Art. Hope that helps!

Susan Kelly 🤦🏻♀️ I’ll try to fix that. Not sure what happened there, but they’re off amazon. Amazon doesn’t have super specific cutters and veiners, but the more common ones, like dahlias, they do.
