I was worried coming into this episode because I’ve enjoyed this show so much, and, as I’ve said before, it took an idea that sounds silly on paper and made a serious noir detective drama with a real mystery that was always the main focus of the show. I was worried it would end up becoming stupid, but I now want to apologize for the doubt. That’s never been what this show was, and the people behind it deserved a lot more faith from me heading into the finale. This show never - and I want to emphasize this for anyone who may think otherwise - this show NEVER undermined the detective story with the twist. The twist never became the focus, and they only included just enough of that to keep it as an added layer of intrigue. It never took away from the detective stuff, and that’s what people wanted to pretend like it did because that’s what a lesser show would have done. Check out my thoughts, leave your own, and remember to rate/comment/subscribe/share and ENJOY!
