It's my birthday so here's a wee old timey song for ya all! This isn't a song about birthdays, but it's a song about having a good time nonetheless. I included a few verses from both "Rye Whisky" and "Rocky Island" and this version was also inspired by Clifton Hicks and George Gibson's versions of "Rocky Island".
Also, I recently got a new camera and portable audio recording set up so I'm going to be posting videos to this channel a lot more regularly, make sure to subscribe to keep up to date! Hope you all enjoy the song, cheers for the support!

Lyrics:
You want to get your eye knocked out,
Want to get your fill,
Want to get your eye knocked out,
Climb on sugar hill,
I’m feeling mighty thirsty babe ,
Go fetch a drink of rye,
If I don’t drink rye whisky,
I surely will die,
Dark clouds rising,
Sure looks like rain,
Dark clouds rising,
Sweet little Lisa Jane,
Grab your banjo off the wall,
Grab your fiddle Bill,
Hitch your horses to my sleigh,
We’re going to sugar hill,
I don’t want no evil girl,
Mistreats me every day,
I’m going up to sugar hill,
There I’ll have my way,
Sugar hill and whisky,
You stole my heart and soul,
I’m going to stay in sugar hill,
Until I get old.
Tuning: Double C (tuned several steps down by ear).
