@@lilsaff21beaten 13 world champions in an era where there were only 8 weight classes and one belt. Beat 10 hall of fame boxers which that record is tied for third for most out of any boxer along side with Henry Armstrong. Oh speaking of Armstrong who is arguably the second greatest P4P boxer of all time, was beaten by SRR. Oh almost forgot to mention hes also a two weight undisputed champ and is arguably the greatest in both welterweight AND middleweight. Yeah i think these reasons are pretty valid to prove that he is the greatest.
@julianfalken8861

@@lilsaff21 he doesen’t have a case. There are other fighters who could be possibly the goat but floyd is objectively not it. Allow me to go further into detail as to why. You seem to have glossed over the fact when i said SRR beat 13 world champs in an era with only one belt each weight class. Compared to floyd, who lived in an era with 4. This means Floyd has it literally 4 times easier to get wins from other champions. So if we did the math here and times SRR champion wins by 4, that would mean he would have over 52 champion wins if he fought today. On top of that, out of 23 world champs floyd has beaten, only 7 of them were actual hall of famers. Out of 13 SSR beat, 10 were hall of famers. And also to mention your really dumb point on how having 200+ fights and only having 13 title wins is weak… What did you expect from him? Do you think all 200 of those fighters were really gonna be world killers? If you did then you’re really naive. Back then you had to fight many times just so you could have more money and most of the time SRR fought it was just for the money especially at the end of his career. Just cause not all 200 opponents were quality opponents does not down play the top tier opponents he did face. The only claim floyd has over SRR is that hes undefeated, and any boxing expert knows that being undefeated does not equal to being the greatest, only casuals think that. If that were the case Rocky Marciano would be the greatest heavyweight of all time not Muhammad Ali.

@@lilsaff21 man you really went in and called someone delusional for having a valid opinion, i tell you why SRR is the goat but you still aint happy, then i go into more detail, as my reply said. So what i’ve gathered here is your a typical, casual, possibly illiterate, blind floyd follower who calls him the goat just because he is. Also was this short enough for your liking? I definitely do not doubt the accuracy of what this short is suggesting. Walker Smith Jr aka Sugar Ray Robinson definitely was in a league of his own and most of his fights archived in film are of him outside of his prime. One thing is he didn’t strive to become as great as he was but it just naturally was how he trained and built himself. He had an extraordinary uniquely special gift that has not been seen before or duplicated. Arguably the only other boxer near or at his pinnacle level of natural great talent was Willie Pep, who also is a boxing legend however a good amount of his greatness was reduced from a plane crash which he survived yet he still managed to be at such an expertly high professional level and was a champion in boxing and always kept his unique special talent of a gift with him while maintaining injury

Though he failed to prove that overall in his career. Thats why people have Sugar Ray Robinson as the P4P GOAT and BOAT simply because of what he has proven and against who he has proven against. Roy is far from "just" a good fighter, there is no doubt in my mind he was one of the best to ever do it but by not being abled to rack up his career like Ray did. It makes Roy just not look so very good in comparison. Also Roy was a wee bit chinny and i seriously doubt that Ray would fail to land at least one good left hook on Roy for 12-15 rounds. Personally i got Ray by 11th round KO. No disrespect to Roy ofc he's an amazing champ but personally i got Ray against him.

Only one I feel would give Ray problems is a prime Roy Jones and this is because Roy could hit had height and is not just a great counter fighter but he can throw counter hooks in combinations similar to to Sugar Ray. But at 147 I’ll take Ray Robinson 155 I might take Roy. Ray the GOAT tho

15-1 with Ezzard Charles. Charles was Heaviweight! He beat Joie Louis, Archie Moore (×3) Joie Maxim (×5). And Joie Maxim beat S. R. R.

Sugar Ray Robinson ain’t beating Sugar Ray Leonard at welterweight. Hell no. Duran would also get Robinson. Hearns would be a toss up. All the rest Robinson would beat easily though.

then he went undefeated with 89 winning streaks so 129-1. Can’t forget the fact that he fought a bunch of former world champs and hall of famers and beat all of them.
