Great, snappy tone! I have these pickups in a Suhr Classic S I just got, and I think the noise-canceling system in it makes them a bit muddier, but they’re still a keeper. Thanks for explaining what “low peak”means, as well, within the context of these pickups. It wasn’t clear from the other descriptions I read, and it totally makes sense now what John Suhr was going for with these.

I also have a Suhr classic s with these pups in it. The SCII system might very so slightly make them a little muddier and darker, but I tend to like a bright tone overall, which can sometimes get ice-picky easily, so it works out in the end

Thanks! I just built a Strat with all Fender parts (roasted maple neck) and 57/62 pickups. Boy is that thing bright. I've tried all kinds of pickups in it and have found these as a recommendation. I'm also a huge Lincoln Brewster fan and are looking at the Area's. Having both the Area's and the V60lp's and having to choose between just one set...which would you choose? Thanks!

Honestly its a toss up. Both sound great and can pull off any tone you want. But for the Lincoln Brewster thing the area pickups are obviously the best bet. But either way you go they sound great and will be a massive upgrade to the 57/62 pickups

DH Music I just put the 58,58,61 combo in my strat and it’s killer! Thanks! Also, I had a treble bleed that although shouldn’t affect the tone when the volume was on 10, it was making the guitar shrill. Removed the treble bleed and it sounded way better. Now with these, I get nearly the same tone as the 57/62 but with no noise. It’s so fun to play!

@@PhillipBeauchamp what kind of treble bleed was it? Was it a capacitor and a resistor or just a capacitor?

@@dhmusic8461 It was a kit I got from Amazon with them in Parallel. I have them on my other guitars and it works great on them. It didn't work well on this one. I get three new ones to try with this one. A Kinman style, a Lawrence style, and a Parrish style. Next string change I'll run wires out with clips from under the pickguard and try each to find the one that meshes best with the guitar / pickups.

That video is still in the works. I've made it like 5 times already and haven't been happy with a single version of it yet. But it is coming soon
