Two videos this week, this is with the new gopro9 with the external mic and coloration fixed. less grain etc etc ... like and subscribe have an awesome day.
i use ss8.5 and it dissolves with soda machine like in 2-3 hours max. i tried dennerle mineral and ss 7.5. but 8.5 is superior. lots of breeding. i keep mine around 200tds in tank, and during water chanage, i use 150 tds.

I really appreciate all the info on the sulawesi tank - it has been invaluable for me in setting up my own. I have a couple more weeks before I get my first sulawesi shrimp, the tank is already cycled and full of algae/biofilm, and I cannot wait. It is going to be a mixed tank with a few different varieties.

How do you prevent the growth of 'blue-green algae' (cyanobacteria) when you grow 'green algae' (chlorophyta?) and diatoms?
@Constantine_Cvl8
2 жыл бұрын
I know this was posted three months ago but here goes: Algae is the natural rival to cyanobacteria, they should be outcompeting the cayno by themselves, many people might say they have a "trump card" over the cyanobacteria, as they are able to multiply without needing to stick onto a surface, giving them a major advantage. for years Chris me and a friend have been trying to figure out how to get green algae on everything in a sulawasi tank and powder fish flakes does that as well. I think you get more algae cover in harder water regarding your initial question.

For me, Sulawesi are the most beautiful shrimp in the hobby. I was around in comments when you set this tank up and am so glad to see it thriving. I was interested because they do well in harder water however; the temps they require are too high for my room environment. Thank you for the update and congratulations on finding the right mix for them.
