"I asked her, she replied that she deemed it appropriate." This, honestly, never fails to make me laugh. Just Hürrem cleverly throwing Suleiman's own catchphrase back in his face.

I never lijed Firuze character, not when she appeared young and innocent or when she is overly confident with a smirk on her face.

I honestly believe that Firuze has been especially picked and trained to appease the sultan. She knew how to dance and play instruments, she could recite poetry, she had the demure, playful demeanor that attracted his attention. The only thing I don't get is why? She didn't attempt to kill the sultan even though she had plenty of opportunities. She wasn't snooping around to try and find state secrets. Was she supposed to make him fall in love with her and become a sultana herself, and then the other dynasty would have an inman? If she wasn't even Firuze as she claimed, her name instead was Hymera Hatun, why did she tattoo the symbol of the other dynasty on her neck? It would only cause trouble for her if her mission was to remain long term in the palace

She actually was slowly poisoning the Sultan. Which is why he collapsed shortly after. When she was banished, the people she met were her own dynasty members/people and she went back home. Edit- you are correct about her training. Good point.

Firuze was a member of the Persian Secret Service.

Is she got pregnant, her child seed comes from the Sultan himself. The boys are important more than the females. Just like during the time of the Chinese emperors. Girls were only breeders. Males all preferred. But without females, males cannot produce.

The main aim that firuze was there was to get rid of Hureem or to curb her strong influence on suleyman. She was planted there by Ibrahim and hatice. Ibrahim was having his own problem of siring a daughter with nigar and hatice was angry about that so she took it out on Hureem for her husband's infidelity. Anyway firuze was "captured" and sent by suleyman's admiral barbarous, a supporter of mustafa and mahidrevan .... hence the plot of getting firuze into suleyman's chambers. Regarding that she was well trained was that she admitted that she came from another royal family or dynasty ... hence she's well trained and educated .... not only at ottaman's harem but the Persian harem. Hence a princess. That really gives me the impression that she's planted as a spy too. Suleyman's not that stupid once the tattoo on the nape of her neck was exposed, knew that he'd been conned. Another thing was that I don't think suleyman had any sexual feelings for her. They had been together for a while but she was never pregnant. Suleyman just enjoyed her company, intelligence and youth. Someone new more like for entertaining or to play with after a hard day's work ...like a daughter ... but still mihrimah would be the apple of his eye and never be replaced, so firuze would at the end be the loser even if she managed to replace Hureem which she would never be able to. Suleyman would get tired of her sooner or later. Then she had to deal with mihrimah who's like Hureem but who's "harder" and not so forgiving and very loyal to her mother Hureem. She's both her father and mother ....
