My opinion alone, sulit ang buhay Canada. It ain't perfect as you really need to work your a$$ off to get the life you want here. Di pwede dito tamad tamad or petik petik like sa Pinas. If you don't like the job you're in, the gov't helps with tuition for a career you want if you meet some qualifications. I do work in IT and it is not an easy job so my wife and I try as much we can to balance work and life with the many travel opportunities available to see other parts of the world. The Canadian passport is one of the best in the world so it makes that easier. Health care here is slow and not perfect but at least is free. I don't speak a word of French kaya I don't live in French speaking cities/towns but good thing is most French people know English as well so living/working in those areas ain't as bad as people say it is. The life you want to live in Canada (and anywhere for that matter) is totally dependent on you alone. If you were accustomed to having 3 maids and a driver in Pinas then it's not gonna happen here as you have to do everything yourself (our machines are better here though so that makes it a little easier for us). 'Hope this helps with those thinking of going here or are new here.. ;)

Sa mga Pinoy na nakapag trabaho sa Canada, we should be grateful and thankful na nakapagbigay ng kaginhawaan sa ating buhay at pamilya. We chose to work in abroad, paghusayan lang natin at makakamit ang tagumpay, hindi yung puro complain sa araw araw. Pray and trust in the Lord🙏❤️. I’ve lived and worked here in Vancouver for 27 yrs and I’m happily retired. Just enjoying life and having all the benefits of a Canadian. Very thankful to the Canadian govt. and to our Lord! Peace ✌️

I came to Canada when I was 4 years old. Been here for 34 years. My dream is to retire early in the Philippines. I first visited the Philippines in 2007 and I have say it's the first time I really felt alive. The Philippines is where you can wake up in the morning and you feel life around you. Weather is the cock crowing in the morning, the people walking by and even the noisy cars tricycles. In Canada, even megacities like Toronto you can look out the window at 11AM and see almost nothing except for a few cars and maybe a person walking their dog. Unlike the Philippines where people talk to their neighbors and even share food sometimes. I lived in my neighborhood for 20 years and i barely know the people that live on my street. The average Canadian debt is 20K dollars which doesn't include mortgage or car loans. People think it's much better in Canada, but if you look at the mental health state of the citizens here, the housing crisis in Toronto, the divorce rates, the lonely winters (even when you have a family), and the western culture that pressures young adults to leave the house at an early age and sending the elderly to a seniors home. Canada is a like a treadmill. You work all year like you're running a marathon and hopefully have the opportunity to go on a vacation once or twice a year and then back to running. There's definitely pros and cons in both countries but I certainly don't want to retire in Canada and if I could I'd make the move to the Philippines but it's the dollars that support my family. So I'm looking for ways to get off the treadmill.

Montreal is still one of the best city in Canada. Although we, as immigrants need to respect the regulations of the place we live in, Bill 96 is a bit excessive to Anglophones.

Di tulad sa pilipinas, monthly may fiesta, holiday or long weekend.

Bago pa ang Bill 96 nakalipat na kami, isa sa reason namin is ang language, pero sa mga bagong dating at parating palang sa Quebec grab the opportunity, feel the environment and have an experience then decide later if you want to stay or not in Quebec. The place is nice especially sa Montreal and Quebec City. Anyways magandang part time din yung delivery driver like DoorDash, Skip and UberEats. Nagdoordash and skip din ako dito.

Please take note, merun pa akong years of experience sa marketing, digital marketing and tech support in Manila. I highly suggest lipat ka sa Ontario or Alberta. So far kahit marami ang namimilit ng French dito sa capital city, mas marami pa rin talaga ang English speakers compared to French speakers. Ingat lagi. Good luck and God bless.

We chose to come here in Quebec so we took the effort to learn the language before coming here kahit hnd reqd s work ksi english kmi s work. Pero maraming hnd nkkaalam kung gaano khrap. Ngffrench class kmi dto everyday every after work from 5:30pm-8:30pm. Nkkpgod, tpos halos hnd k mkpgfocus sa tnuturo. Sa construction firm kmi so ang work malakas summer hanggang before winter so inaallow lng kmi ng employer nmn na mgtake ng french every winter and spring. So nasa level 3 plang kme ng french in 1 year. Hindi kaya ang 6mos. Kasi ang per level ng french is almost 3 months. And to be able to communicate and apply PR, need mo til level 7 which is almost equivalent to 21 months kung kaya mong ituloy ituloy. Also note wlang summer french class. And depende s number of students pa nung french level, kung ikw lng ang student, hnd ioopen ang class n yun s season. I dont know about Montreal and Quebec Coty, i heard mrming english speakers. Ns pnka province kmi dto s Saguenay and Im telling you, i cant even say na meron 5% n english speakers na locals dito. So kung pg implement lng ng french language, super nsanay nkmi and exposed. We were told many times, they love filipino workers here kasi npaka sipag. So npkhrp smn and s mga kbbayan ntn lalo n yung mga mas hectic and mbgat pa ang trbho smn. I hope they do consider and rethink about Bill 96. Kahit yung 6mos lang is iextend.
