A bad decision to leave but I guess he needed to find himself, work on his two other bands Brown Brigade and The Organ Thieves and the finale was a divorce. This would make anyone look at themselves and then hit the gym and start looking to get more chicks again! But the water solo sticks in everyone's mind. I miss the original drummer, he was full of jokes and stuff. He was even on Cribs (Parents Home) now he is selling homes as realtor in Sunny Palm Springs! www.paulkaplanrealtor.com/steve-jocz.php

Gotta respect these guys. Out of all the punk bands from the 2000s, Sum 41 are the only ones who have kept themselves musically relevant -with their dignity intact. Where the rest of those bands became more pop-influenced, Sum 41 just became progressively heavier as they went on. The inspiration from Metallica & Iron Maiden was always there, but it became much more clear after their first album and onward 👌

Solos aren't lame. Only badly written, or badly placed. Many songs don't need it and this song, keeps it short, basic, and fits in nicely. A number of songs have have a fair bit of guitar wanking for 2 minutes, and don't sound nearly as good as this, because the context of the song makes it that much better. :D
