Seriously, that was THE performance of that show. I remember multiple people who weren’t into punk at all saying that, wow, these Sum guys are really WAY above anyone else. Saw your entire 9-minute performance of MoP the other day, too, what a killer! In some of your further videos, can you talk about your metal influences and how it affected your drumming style?

Not quite the same .. But my band was playing a gig in Melbourne one night and as we were doing soundcheck before the show , Mark Seymour from Hunters & Collectors was sitting at the bar watching us for about 10 to 15 mins or so ... once we noticed him sitting there our guitarist broke out the opening riff to Holy Grail , we all came in with him and were seriously smashing it out {as sort of a homage to him} , when we noticed he got up walked towards us about 10 paces, then walked straight out the door... LMFAO .. we actually made him leave {not on purpose though}

One about how you told the Island Canada guy he sucked to his face for signing Hanson and then another where you showed up late to some important industry dinner in full tactical gear and super soakers and just had a water gun battle in this fancy restaurant. I loved how unapologetically young and punk rock you were. Our band was a bit more serious musically so we could never really do anything like that. I was jealous of that free spirit you guys had. Love seeing you on here. I loved how you never hid your metal roots despite being labeled pretty distinctly as a pop-punk band.

I remember both of these shows! The first with Run DMC was just hilarious. The Metallica was insanely epic! You didn’t even use a double bass pedal from what I recall - sounded true to the original with little stylistic flairs that were still Sum 41. You totally honored those guys. I would have totally shit AND peed in my pants up on that stage from pure excitement! I miss MTV, VH1, and Fuse being the way it was during the 90’s and 00’s. Now it’s mostly crap reality TV. They need to bring back the music vids and live shows like this! Steveo, I’d love to hear more about how you went from your apparently strict mom making you toss your Metallica shirt to ending up in a Punk band where you were totally off the rails - did that create a lot of trouble with your family, or did they end up supporting you? On that note, might be cool to share your experiences with the younger generation who might want to pursue music. Lots of kids end up doing stupid shit like running away to join a band, while others end up fighting a lot at home. How do you get your family on board with this sort of thing, and what do you do if you can’t get the ‘rents to let you pursue being in a band? And are there things kids today should be doing to make good decisions and not get taken advantage of by the industry and shitty people out there? I just worry about the teens of today when their parents don’t see eye to eye and then they get taken advantage of by other adults because they’re kids who may not know better. Might be helpful to explore that topic. Tell these teens what you feel you did right and what you wish you might have done differently. But for real, I mostly just wanna know how you went from mom making your toss that shirt to effing Steveo32 in Sum 41, lol. 😂😂😂

Oh, I remember that. Avril Lavigne surprised me with Fuel and Snoop did Sad But True right? Man, Snoop's bassist Bubby Lewis? Absolute genius. Gem of a musician. Also I remember having Does This Look Infected and then getting high speed Internet and seeing this show posted on like DailyMotion or something. It ruled.

You and Dave should’ve started a thrash band! Amazing musicians for the heavy-horned society 🤘🤘🤘🤘

I just watched it the other day, it'd be cool to see you play through the drum solo interlude in "All She's Got" from the Introduction to Destruction set
