Summer is our warmest season with the longest days and shortest nights. Summer is a time to relax. To rejuvenate. New England isn’t just a US region, it’s a state of mind. New England's distinctive accents, foods and customs are rooted in the Puritan settlers that first arrived from eastern England 400 years ago. For me, summer is an anxious time. Fresh off a long cold and dark winter and a spring that is measured in weeks, not months, I feel the need to pack as much as I can into 13 short but spectacular weeks. With each passing week comes amplified anxiety built on the premise that I’m not doing enough! That I’m not doing the right things! This video explores the places I visited in the 13 short weeks we call summer.
