Once again I'm distracted by your beautiful home, the mantel and beautiful woodwork. Enjoy your content. We live in New England and winters are so cold in our big old home, I have been thinking about getting flannel sheets for the kids .

Thank you! They are worth it. This is a good time of year to find a good sale!

We only have one set of sheets for every bed in our house. Seems unworkable, I know, but we've done it for almost a decade with no issues. Once I learned to think of everything as inventory, it made it much easier for me to get rid of excess. If I have to think about and be responsible for all the inventory, then I need it to be managable for me. That was eye-opening and had helped me declutter every part of our home from holiday decor to the pantry to the linen closet.

Love this. I have often thought of trying one sheet set per, but not brake enough yet! Great tips!

Thanks for sharing more of your decluttering journey! We keep flannel sheets too. I love them but I'm very happy to put them away for summer! 😅I sometimes stash a wrapped bar of lavender soap with our off season bedding so it smells nice later.

Love to declutter but also find it difficult to let go of things. Crazy I know.

A couple years ago I did a capsule wardrobe for each of my kids and it was AMAZING 🥲 everything mixed and matched and fit in their drawers. Nobody really talks about the side affect of the blessing of getting hand-me-downs, which is being swamped with clothes and overwhelmed because you have all seasons at once in many sizes. I know each of my kids’ energy types as described in “The Child Whisperer” by Carol Tuttle, so it made it really easy to build them a capsule wardrobe. If it didn’t match the “colors of their type”, then I decluttered it out. (Eg. My oldest son and 4 yo daughter are both Type 3, like me, which is described as a swift-moving, active, determined child so I would keep clothes that reflected that. My middle son is a bright and bouncy energy, and he hates constricting clothing. So I don’t even keep those rugged jeans for him that my oldest loved. And my youngest son is serious, still, and reflective. He’s the only one who loves polo shirts. He likes very plain, simple clothing with not too much pattern.) But then now my mother in law began buying off of Temu 😭 now the closets are bloated with all kinds of cheap clothing.
