So happy to hear that the treatment is working. Being a woman should be a joy. Not a painful process like some doctors say is normal. 😊

Oh Lauren you nearly made me spit my toast out!!😂 "You don't realise you're lying in dog wee" 😂 As a fellow lifelong period pain sufferer (I'm thankfully past all that horror - only good thing about the menopause) I completely understand your comments. Let's hope you've found the solution 🤞🏼. The Mirena IUD was a life saver for me.

Lovely video! I also watched the Opening Ceremony and agree with you. It was a cool idea to do it on the river but they didn't pull it off 😬 There was no atmosphere and the sound quality was completely diminished by the rain. I'm looking forward to seeing Twisters next week. The leading actress you were thinking of is Helen Hunt!

I am glad you are feeling relief! I do wonder sometimes if you might have PCOS. It’s hard to diagnose sometimes but I have family who are feeling so much better after finding it out and working on some strategies. Take care and I love your videos.

I love Anne Fine! I read a lot of her books during my childhood, my favourite was Goggle Eyes, Crummy Mummy and Me, and Flour Babies.

I am so envious of your ability to read in a car. I get carsick if I read. I can read on the train though. Thanks for another wonderful entertaining vlog again. Cheers Chris 🇦🇺

Ahh Lauren thats amazing about your pain - hope that continues. Its so frustrating how long it takes to get help. Just to say too endo is very rarely seen on ultrasound - usually only diagnosed with laparoscopy (they really need to come up with easier way of diagnosing than surgery). Might be what you said is solely causing it but thought would mention. But anyway great news!!

Oh I'm so happy for you that you've found some relief from period pain. I've been there and I know how horrendous and lonely it is. I stumbled across information in my twenties after years of debilitating monthly agony, fainting, vomiting, etc, that taking ibuprofen BEFORE the pain starts helps which worked for me thankfully having quite a predictable cycle and first day. Just wanted to leave that nugget here in case it's useful for anyone else watching this video. Just make sure to eat something before taking the ibuprofen too. I do wonder if doing that for years has caused me some stomach issues though. The mysteries and individuality of womanhood are never ending! However, I read an article about premenstrual bloating which said that spinach can help and also with beast pain, which seems to work for me, so now if I feel any of that coming on, I'll just munch my way through a bag of spinach like a packet of crisps, even if I happen to be on the go and get some odd looks from strangers 🤣 Also glad you are having a more enjoyable summer. I'm in Scotland and I could do with it being a bit sunnier but I'm glad of not being covered in horrible sunlotion every day 😎 (loved your reminisces about reading on childhood summer holidays too 💕)

Thanks Lauren, I love your Q&A’s. I also love cooler summers, I’m mainly housebound and when it’s scorching for days and weeks it’s unbearable. I had an aircondioner installed last year and my goodness it’s superb. SUPERB. I don’t have to worry about over heating anymore. I really recommend Air Con you can get a unit in one room quite cheaply and it’s very quiet. It goes on the wall near the ceiling. I’m evangelical about this, it’s a life changer.

Girl I cannot believe you are 38!!!!! I thought you were my age (29!) You look frigging wonderful, it must be these child free vibes we have! 😅❤ Also, I have suffered from period pains too. I have been on the pill for 7 years and it has been a lifesaver as I haven't had any periods since. I'm now having tests for PCOS and Cushings syndrome. Make sure you don't get fobbed off with those scans - you must have hormonal bloods done to diagnose PCOS as well as the scans, i've been there xxx

Sarah Wayne Callies was not in the original “Twister” that came out in 1996. But she was in “Into the Storm” or “Enter the Storm”, something like that in 2014/21015? Maybe that’s what you’re thinking of. Interesting that you have to be referred to a Gyno in the UK. In America, you’re *supposed* to go every year and no referral needed. I’m glad you’re not suffering anymore. The pill definitely has its benefits. I came off it in February since I was no longer with my partner and not currently sexually active….it has been a STRUGGLE since.
