@@olivia-or2gy unfortunately the trumpet and piano are probably the go to for jazz. Clarinet is really great, especially under Gershwin like it is here or in Rhapsody in blue... But for me, the Sax will always be king

Samuel Joseph my point was they don’t get enough credit. I play both sax and clarinet and i love both but in my experience clarinets get a lot of hate and not enough recognition for their role in jazz.

Riley Legault here’s a tip I learned the hard way when I was playing Tchaikovsky’s Trepak: play the piece slowly and keep increasing the speed when you feel ready, but you have to know the piece well when you’ve already played it slowly in order to get it right. Also, you could try memorizing it, but that’s to play it really well.
