Good job with subs. It’ll pay big dividends later with experience give coaches chance to coach better and evaluate better.

Your #2 QB will never be ready until you allow him to throw also. I get that you try to run the clock, prevent turnovers and possibly stopping the clock with an incomplete pass. But, the defense knows they are running every play and that is no way to learn the offense. The 2's, 3's and 4's should be able to play as if that drive will win the game. Mix in the normal offense and let these guys make plays or mistakes that will need to be corrected. We do it for the defense but hamstring the offense.

I don't like the way you all take the starters out so soon. Y'all let NC State scored 28 points in the second half with backups in the game. Must do better

I agree, or at least run the starters back out when State got to 28, just to send a message to the younger guys.

Those young guys needed to get exposed so they can go back and see what they need to fix.

It's a long season you got to build your depth

Dabo doesn't care about stats. They are meaningless. He is getting valuable game experience for his talented, young backups. That is how he made 6 straight playoffs.

He isn't just thinking about what the final score looks like. There are over 100 players on the team. You can better evaluate, coach and develop players when you see them in actual games. Imagine you're a 2nd, 3rd or 4th on the depth chart. How many games would you get in? Putting that many players in gives them a chance to play and learn. It may make a player less likely to want to transfer. Other than the final score, it helps the players and the team in the long run.
