I haven’t used a rower before, so spending $900 on a Concept 2 that I might not use is a less than optimal choice. I got this machine a couple weeks ago, and I’ve been following some of the beginner videos out there, working on getting the technique down while getting some good exercise in. There are limitations with this, mainly the basic monitor, but the action is smooth and it seems durable. I like that it’s quiet and I don’t have to bother with headphones or crank the music/TV volume. There seem to be plenty of free videos to follow along with on You Tube. I’m 68 and intend to use it, in addition to riding my bike and hiking, as a full body workout. My goal is health, not necessarily “fitness.” So long as it’s durable in home use, I’m happy with the machine.

I have one. I was surprised at how well it functions. Feels great. Well worth the cost.

Can you reach maximum heart rate and get completely out of breath? How loud is it? Thank you.

@@bmp713 Not at loud as the cheaper rowing machines and reaching max heart rate is relative to the health condition of the user. I can't yet. :)

Great review, I appreciate all of the bullet points that you highlighted good stuff. I prefer a water tower as well but I was wondering if I should just buy something less expensive instead.

this is a good device, quiet, and the workout you get is pretty much identical to what you get from the fancy rowers in a gym at least in my experience, the monitor is simple but it tracks time which is what I use to measure my progress so it's enough

Am I doing something wrong? The highest resistance feels like nothing, it's definitely more than the first few levels but it still doesn't feel hard at all. Is it because it's magnetic? What type do I want for more of an actual strength work out?

Having used a Concept2, how do you get used to the foot plates dipping forward?

Which model is this particular one? Sunny Health has so many different models that it’s difficult to narrow down to the right one.

You can't get any kind of workout on it, even after an hour and going as fast as you can. It's a waste of money!
