At 11:07 in the Device Pool Site B Dallas has a Local Route Group Dallas-Emergency, you then say that the Local Route Group Dallas-Emergency points to the Dallas Emergency Route Group, which points to the actual gateway. I don’t see how the local Route Group Dallas emergency was ever used to point specifically to the route group which contains the gateway.

Hi Jonas, Thanks for watching. Good job with the sharp eye. That was the first time I had ever seen the technology and the first time I tried to explain it. It’s likely I misspoke. Here is a resource that can help you understand Local Route Groups. www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/10_0_1/ccmfeat/CUCM_BK_F3AC1C0F_00_cucm-features-services-guide-100/CUCM_BK_F3AC1C0F_00_cucm-features-services-guide-100_chapter_0100110.html#:~:text=Configure%20Local%20Route%20Groups,-The%20Local%20Route&text=The%20Local%20Route%20Group%20feature%20provides%20the%20ability%20to%20reduce,other%20N%2D1%20remote%20sites. -John

You associated the Route Label to the route list but where did you associate the Route Label to the Route Group for routing..??

I’m not sure what its meant by “Route Label”. That’s not something I mentioned. I believe you are asking about where to go to create the multiple Local Route Groups. Try navigating to Call Routing -> Route/Hunt -> Local Route Group Names. I hope that helps! -John

@@SunsetlearningInstitute Sunset Learning Institute What I meant was that we created Local Route Group name which has nothing to do with Route Groups and while creating Route List in Route Group section you mentioned Local Route Group name which is just a label, time 6.03..so that Local Route Group name which we created in the beginning is itself SLRG, Correct ??

@@riteshmishra8448 This illustrates how we create them: Call Routing > Route | Hunt > Local Route Group Names > Add New. Once we make them, give them names, they show up as “labels” in our Device Pools. That’s all there is to it. You choose whether or not to associate a physical Route Group to the labels within the Device Pools. Thanks, John
