@@AtillatheHun Yes he was over-hyped at first which is why their first drive was a 3 and out. He was overthrowing RB check downs that he would usually hit in stride with perfect accuracy using his opposite hand. That's why this is the rocky team. They need to be losing to stand up and compete with there usual attitude. Last year we saw that too against the patriots in the playoffs. Mahomboi was hyped and overthrowing all his deep balls in the 1st half. The he exploded 2nd half like he always does when he NEEDS to.

@WarofThoughts

It’s hard not to say right now, just looking at this moment, that Mahomes is the GOAT, of the moment. But Brady has so many more moments and it was not much more than 12 months ago he gave Mahomes a hard knocks lesson about what it’s like to play against a god, which is what he would have faced if he had played in the Joe Montana era, or the Troy Aikman/Jimmy Johnson era and so forth. Mahomes will always be just another guy who lost to Brady, true, but if he keeps it up, his current progress, then he can do it. Nevertheless, 49ers were not the teams Brady has faced in past Super Bowls. They were much vaunted, but didn’t and couldn’t deliver. And Brady could come back not just from 10 points but from 24 points and could rally in the 4th quarter with less than a minute on the clock to win and if he had to, he could pull off a 95 yard drive from his own 5 yard line. Can Mahomes do any of those things? And Brady also did it all without breaking a sweat and looking like he was sitting on a beach somewhere on an island. Nerves of steel. Mahomes looked, well, humbled on Sunday. He has much to learn and grow. If the past is indicative of the future, I think he is up to the challenge,

What if I told you Garoppollo-Mahomes is the new Manning-Brady rivalry of our time?
@samfinucanelunnie9828
4 жыл бұрын
John Petrus More likely to be Watson, Lamar or maybe even Burrow. Jimmy G's good, but will he ever win an MVP like Brady has? Probably not, so therefore not the true rival of Mahomes. The whole point of Brady/Manning is their skill level is or was almost equal, that's not Jimmy G/Mahomes.
@WarofThoughts
4 жыл бұрын
You know Jimmy Mastropollo may be a midget in the land of giants, but even in the land of the blind, the man with one eye is king. Look at Spud Webb, the shortest man to ever play in the NBA, but that didn’t stop him from being the slam dunk champion. Spud Webb could fly. Gravity was nothing but a G thang to him. He had little or next to no use for it. So yeah, I respect what you’re saying, but in a side note and slightly more controversial note, when did we ever have a good black quarterback? And I don’t mean Mahomes, who is biracial. And I don’t mean Michael Vick or Warren Moon or others who won some playoff games or choked in the Super Bowl but a black Joe Montana or a black Steve Young or Tom Brady or Terry Bradshaw or a hundred others.
@WarofThoughts
4 жыл бұрын
I must say who will be the dreamiest quarterback of all. Trevor Lawrence with those luscious long blonde locks. Mahomes will never do another hair commercial ever again. They will drop him like a red headed stepchild. They will drop him like it’s hot. They may even have to take the title McDreamy away from Patrick Duffy of Grey’s Anatomy. Trevor Lawrence will probably do Head and Shoulders, Tresemme Oh Là Là, and a bunch of others and probably bank more in shampoo endorsements than from his football contract, especially in the first few years after being signed. No disrespect to Mahomes, I’m just saying nobody can compete with long locks like those, not even Christina Aguilera or somebody else.
@WarofThoughts
4 жыл бұрын
@@samfinucanelunnie9828 Talent seems so unevenly distributed though at the highest levels. I don't know if we can or will ever see the dominance again of the Brady era in New England, but I do kind of expect Mahomes to be that figure, or as close to it as is possible. I'm not surprised how dominated the 49ers were because Mahomes can come back at any time to strike, just like Wilder in boxing who has the one hit power to end a match in seconds. Mahomes is like that in football. But I am surprised how flat Garropolo was. Perhaps I was premature, perhaps I was wrong but the 49ers are now I think in contention for being one of the great teams of the next several years. But will they be an NFC powerhouse? I think less likely than to be so. However, with the shutdown, which I think is really just an attempted takeover, I don't know that we will ever get to enjoy these simple pleasures ever again.
