A couple of thoughts that came to me watching this for people making their own jacks. A hollow punch or step drill bit will make easier/rounder holes in thin sheet metal. I currently have a sheet metal cut on my finger from installing ceiling mounted light cans and the thin sheet metal sliced me without feeling it. I had cut resistant gloves on right before, but I took them off to color code some wires with tape. Wear gloves with sheet metal. Another thought is if you can find it get wider Velcro that you can wrap around the edges so not only do you have a left/right window jack, but the sheet metal edges are fully enclosed.

Just got back from a 3 night camping trip and it’s basically identical to how you did yours lol Work great held up the pipe on its own didn’t have to support the pipe coming out of the tent, but man does it get hot in the tent with the wood stove 😂😂😂

How is it doing on propane? I read someone saying they burned through 100lbs in a 3 day trip here in Minnesota.

I used a 500 degree silicone baking sheet instead of tin but yes this is a good idea either way the best way, had velcro sewn on my silicone stove jack as glue doesn't stick to it.
