Hi Jun. Saw your note (partially) - Thanks for the tip. Somehow, while I did sea your reply - I couldn't reply directly to it and I don't see your comment below. YT bug??? No idea... I did look it up but I'm not that worried or should I say troubled by halitosis - it's my wife that suffers... Just kidding - she doesn't share my love for garlic (she does love garlic, just not as much as I do). Mint tea or mint candies definitely helps.

Can you add essential oils instead?

Good question. Candies can tolerate and uncorporate oils - depending on the oil. You will have to try and see. What kind of essential oils do you want to add?

@@DanuYusufJustRed I have some menthol in liquid form, I don't have any peppermint oil. If you have sorbitol - simply weigh a small amount (25grams will do nicely) and add about 1ml of oil or 1 gram of crystals. See how it does - if it enters the candy, if you can blend it and how it behaves. Pour - remember sorbitol takes 3 days to harden usually, so be patient. I have no idea why mint makes it harden like sugar candies - i.e. almost instantly as it cools to room temperature. I will give it a go with my menthol liquid. ...

... Allow me to ask - why use an extract when you can use the herb. The herb will give you a much better, much more complex, flavor and scent. Try some finely chopped mint or peppermint as well... to compare. One more comment - a methol or peppermint extract candy can be hot, the natural herb will never make a hot candy, regardless of how much you put in it. Consider combining chilli, dried pepper and other combinations if you like the flavor. Good luck and keep me posted - I'm interested! :) Saar
