I still think the greatest moment you’ve had in this game was the blindfolded run with “I think I just accidentally hit a frame-perfect counter.”

I first played this game in 1995 and liked it immediately, since it was far more like the arcade versions than MTPO was. My only complaint was that your gloves don't stay in the position you put them in like in the arcade versions, but rather, they always default to "down" like in MTPO. However, at least your gloves automatically block in SNES SPO based on whatever position they're in (like the arcade), rather than the counterintuitive action of having to pull down to block high, and having to refresh the input for each additional punch you want to block, in MTPO. For a long time I've thought about putting SNES SPO into a classic Nintendo arcade cabinet. I already have an empty Popeye cabinet in my shed that would be perfect for it, since that's a horizontal monitor cabinet. I also have several arcade PO joysticks, a couple extra arcade big blue KO punch buttons, 3 extra Nintendo/Sanyo 20EZ arcade monitors, and an extra SNES with a busted shell that works perfectly. The fact that the SNES can natively output a ~15 kHz RGBHV signal makes the hookup to an arcade monitor easy. I have extra arcade PO control panels too, but I don't know if one could be made to fit into a Popeye cabinet. One of them has a bunch of extra button holes in it from some previous conversion to "Time Killers," so I wouldn't mind modifying that one to make it fit a Popeye cabinet. Alternatively, an old beat-up VS. UniSystem control panel could be used, since those were made to fit classic single-monitor Nintendo cabinets to begin with, and since they're steel rather than wood, they'll accept a Punch-Out joystick as-is. I would just need to fill in the existing button holes and make new ones for the two punch buttons and KO button.

May I ask why you're uplaoding this in 2021 and not 2016? Edit: Wait a minute. This is on the gdq channel and I've seen it before. So why am I seeing this on your channel now?

@@ZoofyZoof Not everyone who follows me has seen all my marathon runs, so for a good deal of the newer subscribers I have, this is new to them. I'm pretty sure I'll get to marathon runs you haven't seen as well, since I've done a decent amount of them that weren't at GDQ's.
