at 6:14 the "dou1" ideogram is omitted from the Chinese version of the text. at 7:22 the ideogram "de" is also omitted from the Chinese text. At 7:38 the spoken text is xia ci women but the written text is women xia ci Otherwise EXCELLENT. Really well done!! You are very well spoken, the text is clear and easily understood. You are very beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for your comments Eric! Yes, there are one or two minor errors in the subtitles, thanks for pointing them out. I spent a long time checking over again and again but I obviously missed a few! There are another 4 of this type already recorded by the way but I've started a new job and don't have much time to do the editing, it's very time consuming and I do everything myself. Hopefully I'll get round to uploading a few more in the next few weeks though.

老老师们, 我再一次正在复习你们的视频课程, 而我就突然想到了: 看请, 这英表达指的是 < a man employed in one IT (Information Technology) organization>, 还是 ?.... ☺️

It's "information technology", pronounced like "ai ti". It's a common word in China.

Can someone explain how 着 works. I'm told its like the english -ing ending but when i use it in that manner im told its wrong.
@immersivechinese
6 жыл бұрын
The closest thing to the English -ing would be 在, for example 我在看书 (I am reading). 着 is pretty complex and I don't think it's useful to try to give a comprehensive definition. It's best just to mimic how other people use it in each specific context, the contexts in which it can be used are actually fairly limited. Regarding this lesson, 对着 means "face" or shows the direction of an action, for example 我对着电脑工作 (I work facing the computer) or 不要对着我看 (don't look at me).

Got it, thanks. Yes for grammar it seems best to learn through experience. Please make new videos!

I think 着 works as -ing when there are two actions involved. For example : 老师站着教书 (the teacher teach while standing)
