one of my favorite all time games...but arcade version with the 3 steering wheels so others can play...I put so many damn quarters into this thing...

The trick to this game was getting into the "zone" where subconsciously you and your car become one with the track.

What's crazy is I did a Google search for this game and got a bunch of lists of "Top Arcade Racing Games" including some lists of 50 games and this one wasn't on any of them. I loved this game! This was in a Pizza Hut I went to with my family as a kid and after some delicious pan pizza I would go over and drop some quarters enjoying this one! Great memory.

Used to play the hell outta this at a local donut shop when I was a kid. Fond memories 😊👌I would go there with my friends and we'd buy a bag of day old donuts and spend the rest of our money on this game. I loved spinning that wheel! If I ever get a chance, I want to buy this arcade for my house.

In the summer of 1987 I had a job at Herman's sporting goods in Woodbridge Mall in New Jersey, and I would spend every spare second I had playing an arcade game that was almost exactly like this, but I remember it being a bit more advanced - with sharper graphics and more detail. But I might be imagining that. It had three wheels (maybe two?) at a stand-up unit. I loved that game.

You're driving it wrong! You had to just plant the accelerator and then spin that steering wheel, you had full powerslide action and you used the sideways drift of the car as a brake. An absolute classic, shame it won't come to the 360..

I've been playing "Midway Arcade Origins" and came across this game. Similar to this title, I've played "Badlands" in "Midway Arcade Treasures 3." Anyhow... great gameplay video here. It can be pretty tough trying to win in this one since the cars go so fast and with all the various turns and hazards about.

They have it at the Bonami museum, but unfortunately their CRT is so bad, it only shows red and green, making the blue player a ghost. But you have to play this once in your life on a true 3-wheel arcade cabinet.

This is an amazing game and I was able to set a new World Record of 16,210 points at FunSpot last month. This only beat out 1st place by almost 1000 points. I don't have access to a Super Sprint so I did the best I could. I won't have a video of my record run because it was verified by a Twin Galaxies Ref Dave Nelson, but J.D. another Twin Galaxies ref did post 2 of my lousy atempts up on You Tube. My Championship Sprint World Record of 19,170 will be posted in a few days.

This game was absolutely awesome in the arcade compared to a lot of others at the time. Great graphics, and sounds. I love the gong-like noise ATARI used in their games. I tried to play this on PC emulating the game with keyboard and it was unplayable. The infinitely-spinning one like in the arcade was a must.

If playing against two drones you have to come in 1st every time. If you are playing with a friend you have to finish each race in either first or second. Or 1st,2nd or 3rd if you are playing the machine with 3 steering wheels.
