I just started a Super Tigre G-21 .46 bought new in 1980. Breaking it in with a 10-6 prop I normally run on a Fox .35 stunt engine. The .46 is going into a Genesis C/L stunt. Any prop suggestions? I was thinking 11-6.

Hey David.. My G75 was doing the samething at mid throttle. I think a short wile back i had mentioned it to u.. What i ended up doing was lossing them two little screewa on the highside needle side of the carb. And rotating it just a little bit to bring the spray bar up.. Fixed that stutter at Mid throttle... Mine will start by flipping it backwards and forwards now too.. Runs great..

You can see in the second image of the engine at :13 precisely how the spraybar is oriented. This is how I set all ST engines up and they operate properly with this setting. So, yes, I am aware of how to adjust the spraybar on these engines.

Mine runs the best with a master airscrew 12/6 ! I've never had a 10 inch prop on it since it was new! I think mine would be revving to high with one! I need to invest in a tach !

How much run time you think I'd get with this engine on a 8oz tank?

Hello David. How com O make sure my old ST51 ringed has the right compression? Thank you Maurício.

You can see the ring through the exhaust port. I cannot tell you verbally how to determine if the compression is right.

@@dmrcflyr2 David, after a close inspection, I figured out that the ring was broken. I can't find on internet a replacement ring...

David, have you replaced the original carb with an O.S. carb? Will It work?

Super Tigre makes some of the best carbs ever, but of course another carb will most likely work if it fits and does not leak air.

@@dmrcflyr2 I rebuilt my ST G51, replaced bearings, rings, glow plug, but was not able to find the original carb... What I noticed is that despite the New ring, It has no compression at all...

@@mvarzoni1 It is very common to have very light compression after a rebuild, especially when a ring is replaced. If you put some oil into the combustion chamber and rotate the crank through it should feel a bit better. But the compression should increase after you do a break in run. You just must make sure you run the engine as NEW and do a proper break in or all of that work will be for nothing.

@@dmrcflyr2 - In 1978 I bought a Super Tigre 60 from Bluff City Hobbies (Best in Memphis). I think it was a G-21 series. Loop scavenging. Put it on a test stand, A little choke and it started on the first flip of the prop. Idled great too! This was at NAS Memphis, Millington. Someone got into my locker and stole the engine. Went to buy another but they were discontinued. Got an OS Max instead. More power but the ST seemed smoother and easier to tune.
