This is supposed to sound like woodwinds or flutes? Doesn’t he have any presets? They really need to get a professional synthesist to demonstrate whatever this might be capable of. This guy is either unqualified or too nervous to be very impressive. Did anyone at the company listen to this before they released it on KZitem? I suppose if they paid me enough I could help them out, but this video is not going to sell any units

I still think Yamaha VL1 and VL7 and the VL70-m module is some of the coolest physical modelling synthesizers that have been made, and they are 30 years old now. So I dont feel that super impressed right now.

It’s a digital foghorn/fart machine … 🤔 Seems great for people who are into boats, and ‘butt-stuff’. So, not for me … but I’m sure someone is going to love it.

Implementing physical modeling without adding MPE support should be taboo. Also applies to the Synthrix II, what a waste.

There is a Reaktor (NI) instrument, that bears the same name, and does in general the same thing (it is also based on physical modelling).

God I love physical modelling synthesis. I want to play with PM synths using very instrument-like interfaces like EWIs and MIDI guitars. I want to make the flute overblow. I want to make guitar sounds that are physically impossible, but mathematically well-defined.

makes me laugh anytime Jean Michel Jarre is quoted. This guy just grab dady's synths from his garage and the sounds of these machine did his success (cleary not his silly musics) then trashed everything the second digital came in (for the worst albums of music history) the minute eurorack raised above radar, he went all in like "i'm the father of analog"... still doing worst music ever.

I don't understand today's synthesizer manufacturers, but neither do their customers. 25 years ago, a DSP was expensive, there weren't many different software models yet, and few people dealt with it, and there weren't many synth hobos who bought it for home. Back then they were still able to produce complete and complete synthesizers, see Korg Z1, which was multipart and had a normal degree of polyphony. With multiple synth models/engine! Now, when a thousand times the power of a DSP of that time is available, such semi-finished, one-shot synthesizers are now being produced. Although, the bit depth and resolution are higher. But... Erica Synths? Take the Korg Z1 as an example. Or a Yamaha EX5, maybe a VL1. I understand that it is cheaper than the Z1 of that time, but how much cheaper the DSP is, as well as the PCB and chips these days. So this is a scam.

This isn't a "one shot" synth. Do you know what physical modeling is? It uses white noise and resonance for its sound generation, and everything else is as a normal synth would be. This is a fairly unique device.
