Hi Danny. Sorry to bother you about this but GM apparently no longer carries that SC oil and had a new part number (10953513). Danny, I have the same Cobra as you, but it’s all stock. What would you recommend as a replacement pulley for the Eaton supercharger? Thanks
@dannyjohnsonsgarage
Жыл бұрын
More important than the pulley, make sure to get a good tune when you install it. You’ll also need a special puller to remove the stock pulley and press on the new one. I would recommend getting the kit that then allows you to swap pulleys after that easily without having to use the puller. You can do the 2.76” or the 2.80”, or 2.93” are very common, but you’ll want a snub idler as well so the belt doesn’t slip kzitem.info/news/bejne/1I-Ak5WZjn94aYY

Leave it stock, and buy a Coyote car to mod. These cars got so molested and beat to death due to all the potential they had (especially for their era) that finding a clean stock one is a rare treat that really stands out. Don't get me wrong when I bought my 03 back in 06 I was ready to mod it, and back then a stock Terminator was like WTF, but 21 to nearly 22 years after these cars first went on sell you just think, "I wish there were more clean, untouched examples of these awesome and unique Mustangs." They hold a very important place in the Mustangs history, and a stock, clean example is a collectors dream, and worth some real $.

So the fill plug we removed in the video is missing? I would get a new one quick and top the fluid level off so the supercharger doesn’t seize. Danny Johnson thank you so much brother! The nut wasnt missing and after a long weekend of searching I figured out that the seller must have used burt oil to keep the engine bay shiny as crazy as it sounds. The entire engine is only got about 4k miles on it, its an aluminator stroker engine, the nut I was talking about was acctually supposed to be open, it was the snout screw threads that scared me and I thought there was a nut missing in it. After I checked the oil I seen it was more than a qrt low, changed it and inspected everything really well and it seems to be fine no shavings anywhere and the blower is good too, I used this video to walk my way through changing the oil in it and I cant thank you enough Danny Johnson! Cee J 1.85L is the stock displacement (meaning it produces 1.85L for every full rotation of the supercharger- not the engine. I’ll give you a link to more on the supercharger and how to calculate its rpm compared to the engine). The supercharger holds only enough oil until it overflows out the fill hole. Change intervals is 100,000 miles, or more if heavily modified/ heavily driven. I’ll also post a link to the SVT supplement. I believe that’s where I got the capacity, but maybe I found it elsewhere
