One of the most important details about The Lone Ranger is that he only uses silver bullets as to "remind himself of the value of a life". Philosophically, I think that's an amazing detail that makes the character much deeper than the average western hero.

John Reid (AKA: The Lone Ranger.) is the ancestor of none other then Britt Reid (AKA: The Green Hornet.) In one of the older Green Hornet comics, we see Britt standing in front of a fireplace and hung over the mantle is a painting of The Lone Ranger on Silver therefor, linking the two together by family blood.

Valen Dreugh Well if you can stop acting like an elementery school specal ed. case, then maybe I would treat you with more respect, but I wont. The fact that you are so stupid about a simple title, get pissed when called out for it, then try to actually argue the point like a fucking idiot when you know you're wrong proves you are an idiot times 10 to the 5 power. Don't talk to an adult unless you can think at the same level as one, kid.

Seriously, are you really that stuck on stupid or is their hope for you?

DarkPaladin24 Yes it was the main catch phrase at the end where he would yell that and Tonto said "getty up Scout!" Scout being Tonto's horse. I for one didn't like it because Lone Ranger was supposed to be intelligent, not a fool. Tonto as well was not some mentally far gone character, but a serious and respectable person. If you seen the original first, you would hate the movie. If you seen the movie first and liked it, well that's on you.

All the years that I watched The Lone Ranger as a child I never knew he was based on the black man Bass Reeves who was the best Ranger in America. He often rode with a Seminal Indian and at times used disguises. So good at his job was Bass Reeves that upon hearing he was the Ranger after them many criminals would just hand themselfs in.

Johnny Depp's Lone Ranger movie has the same problem as Bruce Lee's Green Hornet. Bruce Lee made Kato so popular that the Green Hornet fell in the background. I feel like they deliberately made Johnny Depp's Tonto like Jack Sparrow so could sell more tickets. The movie overall suffers from it. ESPECIALLY the way they took so long to get to the fighting scenes, I mean come on! I prefer the actual Lone Ranger to this trainwreck.

Some people hated the movie. I on the other hand as a lover of good old series like Lone Ranger felt it reintroduced the series to people of all ages. Kids were able to see another piece of our past that is no longer seen on television. I felt the movie showed it's own version of the wonderful Lone Ranger. So whether some people enjoyed it or hated it. I think it got it's point across. Long Ranger kicks ass.

"Kimosabe" is a mis-pronounced phrase in Spanish, "Qien no sabe" that means, roughly, "He who knows nothing". "Tonto", as was pointed out earlier, means "dumb" or "dummy"... So the Lone Ranger and Tonto ride around, and the Ranger will say, "Hey Dummy!", to which Tonto replies, "Yes, He Who Knows Nothing?"...

Not only is the Lone Ranger related to the early version of Green Hornet the creator of the radio show even intended one to be a modern version of the other. The Lone Ranger also has a nephew, who's horse is named Victor. That was actually mentioned in A Christmas Story. The whole reason why John Reid calls himself the Lone Ranger is of course do to his brother and fellow rangers being ambushed and killed.

Admittedly, it was a little jokey, and Tonto was just a redo of Jack Sparrow, but the movie itself wasn't that bad as a movie. If you want to dis the movie, go ahead, and have your opinion, but hate on it as a reboot, not a film. Like the guy said, "It was adapted for a mainstream audience."
