An electrical meter and a 11-1. That's all that goes in with me until I need more. If I need more than that, it's considered catastrophic lol

Having the right tools makes the job so much better and life that much easier. Especially true in refrigeration service. Couple that with the knowledge of refrigeration theory, good troubleshooting skills and knowing the operation of each system... all makes for an excellent technician. You are right on track, in a tough business. Keep up the great work.

Worked out of service trucks and vans for 20+ years. No way to organize when you don't know what you are working on tomorrow. My favorite tools were rachet wrenches and channel locks. 12 volt Milwaukee , it's lighter

I wonder why they’re your favorite. Probably cuz those are damn near universal for any job your on. Lol

lol tool accumulation never stops. and i can tell youre a true technician by this statement, "i think i found that in a house back when i did construction" i have random tools i find in odd places, even if they only do one specific thing only. ots good to have

elitech makes a great digital manifold. i myself dont vacuum through gauges... so i use an elitech which only downside is not having a built in micron gauge. 150 dollars on their website. does all the refrigerants, temp clamps, timed pressure tests. been working for my 4 months now and i do only commercial work, and residential when i do my 7 day on call.

Yo have too many repeated tools, for example I like to go with one set of different pliers, electrical scissors, 1/4 ractchet set", some screw drivers, and adjustable wrenches... and then miscellaneous things you could need, insulation tape, valves, connectors and hvac specific tools. Saving weight is important, just grab the essentials

@@dioncurtiscurtis3188well then you’re a different kind of northerner. 😂I don’t know where that originated from. Not in the state of Maryland though. Unless you lived in the south then moved up here and called yourself a northerner. I’ve seen that happened 😂.

Ya every Monday my van has a nice aisle but by Wednesday afternoon it looks like a bomb went off, there is really not much you can do about it unless you want to be out till midnight everyday it also doesn't help went over course of the week you collect junk parts in a pile in the back of the van that just haven't been scrapped yet.

Lol me either, But my company has each technician insured up to like $20,000 or something like that so if all my tools did get stolen they would reimburse me. So that's good :)
