I like the new Q&A style. Consise and factual. Good stuff. Thanks.

I have owned a tc max (125 equivalent) for half a year now. It is built to a price, but it is excellent value for money, especially if you buy it second hand. It’s my daily commute and perfect for little errands around town. I also own a honda 750 I love, but since I got the electric bike, it spends a lot more time in the garage. No shame on saying that as soon as charging times and range catch up with petrol, i am going full electric. Working on it is not as straight forward as a normal bike, but the maintenance and moving parts you need to service are comparable in number and complexity to a bicycle. As per tge new format, it’s snappier and I like how you reflect what we really want to know. Spec sheets can be found anywhere, but experience of riding/ownership is what we are after. Small tip. Just tidy up and standardise your graphic style to make it more consistent andblend in with the narrative. It’s disrupting your flow right now.

I like the new format, it all flows very well and i also like the way that you split each section up so that we can choose which section suits us. Having owned a electric 50cc bike i can say that they are terrible because the top speed drops once the battery power goes below 75% and going uphill is bloody scarey, i had to charge mine every day just to make sure that the top speed didn't drop too low, my day commute was only 10 miles : ( Don't get me wrong they are great around town (with no steep hill's) and are very easy to use but that is about it.

Nice looking. I was hoping the strong torque of electric motors would make a moped sustain the top speed everywhere.

sadly not to much torque

Looking back to my 50 cc days ( a long time ago ) My greatist joy of rideing was a camping trip to the coast every weekend Approx 150 miles plus maybe another 50 miles bimbleing about while we were there . Nowadays every time I go out for a ride I tend to do 200 ish miles . So as a ''motorcyclist I find it hard to see what kind of market there is for an electric motorcycle with a range of less than this and its hard to see who would buy them when the price of a petrol powered 50cc is approx the same price .No doute they will sell on looks alone but a bike that do's not have the range to take you to the seaside without haveing to recharge it 4 or 5 times on route is as good as useless. The argument could be that this is not the intention or expected use of a 50cc equivelent motorcycle .But neither is that the ''intended'' use of a 50 cc either even tho they are quite easely capable of it .

Luckily I live by the sea. 😉 I know what you mean though. I brought a Piaggio typhoon 50 from Guildford. Then rode it nearly 80 miles home! The garage couldn't believe I was going to do it. Think they thought I had a van round the corner. Lol

@@Ridingreviews miltonkeynes to Edinburgh is about 350 miles admitid it would take quite a while on a 50 but thats more down to the stamina of the rider rather than the bike .

I’d have a cypher for the extra power. I might try one at some point but I’m a bit concerned about how fast the batteries degrade

a lithium battery is warranted for 3 years to 80% that means you can charge it 1000 time at least and it should hold more than 80 %

Great Q&A. I bought one of these 3 months ago. I love it, as I just commute in only 50km zones. However, I am now a little frustrated tha.t. I cannot keep up with traffic as it really only does 45km/hr. I understand that you can de-restrict these. Can you let me know how to do this/. Thanks

@@Ridingreviews Hiya. Thanks for the link. Have tried that sequence a number of times but it doesn't work😂 I have since learned that you cannot de-restrict any of the latest 2023+ TC models. If you know of another source, I would love to know. Thanks
