Came from a family of seven. Asked my dad how he did it. He said, it's not hard if you're not trying to keep up with the Jonses. And he was frugal. And mechanically inclined, so he could fix or build just about anything. Couldn't cook, though. Mom rocked that out. She could feed an army on random pantry items. She was "Chopped" champion long before Food Network existed. Love and mad respect for my parents.

At always depends on what you pack/choose to buy. I remember helping my aunt pack my uncles lunches (20 years ago mind you) and it was things like bags of chips, veinna sausage (yes those salty tiny hot dogs in a can) pudding cups, homemade cookies or brownies or store bought ones.. Maybe some Mac-n-cheese, Lunchables. It was always a lot of food... Now she packs her now boyfriend more healthy things (still very full) and recently seen him complaining on facebook about "Wth is this?! What is she feeding me" and it ended up being a pudding cup style container filled with homemade cinnamon apple oatmeal 🤣 All that to say, the protein salad bowls may be expensive at subway, they are way more healthier than some packed lunches.

@@AllieAtkinson Same as Australia. I used to do family daycare from home. Our ratios are 4 children under school age to one carer. We aren’t allowed to employ others to work with us at home either. We’re allowed 3 school age children and no more than 2 under the age of 1. We have to include our own children into the ratios (including children under the age of 12) as well. @silvernblack21
3 жыл бұрын
Have them come in and watch while you explain every single detail. "First, I put in the plug and squirt soap 3 times. Not 2, not 4. Then, fill the sink about half way with hot water, fill the other sink or the dish tub half way with hot water, put on the dish gloves. Wash glasses first, wipe around the rim a few times, then use this glass brush here and double check...." Just say whatever it is that you do in excruciating detail while demonstrating it. Remind them throughout that if they go on to do the dishes later and don't do it well, you'll have to do the entire demonstration all over again with each dish they messed up. At that point, most children and husbands will start doing the dishes correctly, just for the sake of not having to hear you go over all that again. Make sure the children are old enough, 7 or 8 is a good age to start if they can reach the sink and responsibly be around hot water.
