Please don't take this wrong but I really enjoy you showing poor man fishing,you do not have to have big boats and all the money to have fun fishing it reminds me of 60s when I was young and lived in May port FL. Fishing jetteys and surf thank you from an old man in northeast Tx.

What's funny is here in Ireland those dogfish are a sporting species every summer! They may be a slightly different species but anglers love catching them on light tackle beach gear! We call them smoothound

Just a suggestion using a longer leader will be much more productive due to fish being very leader shy they can see swivels and I gaurantee you will hook up more with a leader that instead of 4 inches is a few feet.

A High-Low rig Tying a long dropper loop to your leader about 1ft above your sinker and just keep the drag tight. The slack allows the bait to move around works for me. Caught a 21lb last weekend.

set your expectations low but bring 2 rods, one bigger one to throw a rig like this with either clam or some fresh cut bait (bunker for example), you can use that to try to catch drum or stripers or sharks or rays. then bring a smaller rod for flounder and kingfish, smaller hooks on top and bottom rigs with either little pieces of clam or live minnows for the flounder. a squid strip/live minnow combo is one of the best fluke baits out there! good luck

easy answer - st croix mojo. They have a mojo musky, mojo inshore, mojo surf and mojo catfish, between those 4 there is garaunteed to be a perfect fit. I use the mojo musky for catfish and stripers

I use braid for just about everything, sufix 832 is one of the best braids out right now. for something like this youd want at least 30lb braid.

some yes but this was from a few weeks ago. these drum kinda hang around all summer and you can catch them sporadically. I think september is also a good month to catch them.

No I dont think so,, drum are usually pretty sought after. Dogfish are what I was referring to as trash fish.. the small common shark.

Yea Im sure some would call these trash fish in other parts of the country. Freshwater wise and saltwater wise. Down in the Gulf they have it good haha, all kinds of sweet fish to catch down there.
