Question is, will developers be able to virtualize macOS ARM on windows ARM? Any virtualization I've tried with current tech is just so slow that I have no choice other than buying a mac.

At 6:34, you mentioned selling your SP8 i5 to buy an SP11 where you can use your Signature Pro Keyboard. Hmm, I'd wait and let others do those checks on the dev tools that matter to you. Do you really think all that stuff is going to work better on an SP11 in June than it does on an SP8 right now? My guess is that some of it won't. Sure, many things will work. Sure, the battery life will be better, but haven't you learned to use an SP8 pretty well despite its limited battery life? What about those few things that don't work well or don't work at all? I'm not saying this is a showstopper for the SP11, but I wouldn't sell my only PC (for ~$400?) to deal with those problems exclusively on an SP11. I'd keep the SP8 as a fallback and try a low-end SP11 w/o OLED display. Or wait for the Intel Lunar Lake SP12 coming in Q3. Those choices would let you focus on development and not waste time determining what didn't work and why. Thanks for your video!

Great comment, thanks so much! Yea I've noticed even since filming that I rely on my SP8 as my only Windows device fairly often, and even in the future should things largely shift to ARM, I'm still going to want a solid Intel Windows machine for certain applications (even if it's just "legacy work" by then). Appreciate the comment - keep em coming! 🙂

I have no idea why anyone would use Windows. But it's good that they also follow Apple to finally put the legacy X86 to rest it deserves.

Some people like me have boring professions which is dominated by Windows software. For better or worse I am an excel whizz and need Microsoft Power BI. Both run better on Windows. Only way round is to get a Mac and run through virtulisation or maybe run Linux on a computer and again run windows on virtulisation. The first option actually costs a little extra money as you pay annual subscription fees I concluded that a £1k Windows machine and a £500 refurb iPad is the best way to sit in two ecosystems and get work plus hobbies done (photo editing on an iPad)....

Come on now, you damn well know INTEL and AMD isn't going anywhere. LOL.... No ARM based processors can touch a 14900 paired with a 4090. Not a damn one brotha!

@@inamulbhuyan I am guessing AMD & INTEL will offer both to consumers because at the end of the day it's going to be hard for businesses to switch to a ARM chip when not all programs run on them.
