Left my laptop charging overnight, and somehow when i went to turn it on, it was stuck on the logo loop. I looked up different videos, and tried different things, even using a hot iron. After 4 days of constantly pressing the power button, it finally drained the battery. when I plugged it back in, it worked instantly. Now from what i understand, the issue is that either Windows tried doing a software update and some of the files got corrupted or it just didn't load correctly; for this the laptop needs to clear the RAM by doing a complete restart. The only way is to either disconnect the battery inside the laptop, or drain the battery forcing it to restart. like i mentioned at the beginning I had left the laptop charging overnight so it was fully charged and it took me almost 5 days to drain the battery. I was so close to buy a new laptop just for a few days because of work. but it came back the minuted I decided to do that. Saved me a few bucks, but it did waste my time. Good luck!

Another with same issue and found this solution in the vidio works - however, I've got another solution to try. I taken screen off twice to remove battery connector and it works as mentioned in the video. The problem comes right back after it basically goes to sleep. this is where it gets crazy. I found that just by warming the device on a hot plate in preparation for screen removal, it will turn on without opening the device. Just warm it up for a bit - I didn't believe it initially. Then proved to work a second time. Then, out of curiosity, i warmed it slightly with a hair dryer and it will boot 100% of the time. Guys...what sensor is at play here?

THANK YOU for this suggestion! I had the same problem, my tablet won't get past the windows logo before shutting down. I don't have a hotplate, so I placed the tablet in direct sunlight for an hour. And after bringing it back inside and letting it cool down a bit, the tablet booted up as normal when connected to the charger.

Same problem here, Surface Pro 7, but I have some bad news for you, it's a hardware issue, Microsoft knows about it, but they don't care, it's a marketing thing. On the right side of the screen, just a little down below the right speaker, it's a magnetic microswich that is being triggered by a magnet in the keyboard, it doesn't matter if keyboard is attached or not, the magnetic sensor it's underneath the LCD, so... The tablet in time heats up, the battery slowly expands due to the heat and wear out of the battery... This battery expansion puts pressure on the motherboard, the sensor it's on the motherboard we're just above I mentioned about it, this expansion it's enough to trigger the magnetic sensor as there's the keyboard close to the screen, so the tablet won't turn on, in fact the tablet is on, but no light on LCD. Probably even if taken apart, most likely you won't be able to fi6a new switch, it's pretty much same concept as the light inside your fridge, but this sensor it's digital, not just analog. They packed way to many things in such a small enclosure, maybe 1mm more thickness would have saved the situation... Yes, you can most likely relate this issue with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 from a few years ago, remember those when they use to burst in flame? Was because of the battery expansion, but had nowhere to expand.
