Incredibly amazing. Starting where, Emma Blows out all the water from the ship, and brings the ship up to the surface. Then, Bronwyn shuts a door close tightly. Lastly, Olive with her touch of fire starts up the engines again . Cute where Enoch carries Claire, and Bronwyn holds up the twins so they can see outside.

Steamships are rugged, if the boilers will hold pressure and the engines haven't seized up they'll run even after all that, and this particular ship hasn't been sunk for that long. It's the Lusitania, which was torpedoed in 1915. The movie is set in 1943, so the ship would only have been down there for 28 years. That and magic kids..

There is no RMS Augusta. There was an HMS Augusta: "HMS Augusta was a 64-gun third rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched on 24 October 1763 at Rotherhithe. She was accidentally destroyed by fire on 22 October 1777 during the Battle of Red Bank." This movie is fiction, obviously. Interesting though they put the name 'Augusta' on the ship.

@@Admiral8Q The only ship I found which may have been a more direct inspiration was the RMS Empress of Scotland . The ship was originally built in 1906 by the Hamburg American Lines under the name SS Kaiserin Auguste Victoria. The ships overall design is close to the RMS Augusta in the movie

@quillmaurer6563

Depends on how fast it sank. If it sank slowly and pressure equalized, then likely the windows would have stayed intact. I've seen photos and videos of real-life shipwrecks, in many cases the bridge windows are intact, undamaged, as shown here. Even in a case where the ship sank quickly most likely only one would break in a given part of the ship, that would allow water to rush in and equalize pressure, preventing any others breaking. The scene in Titanic where the bridge windows all burst simultaneously looked cool but is pretty nonsensical.
