Video Summary:
This video explains mechanism of action of surfactants i.e. how surfactants reduce surface tension. The fundamental concept is very simple. The basic cause of surface tension is downward pull on the surface water molecules. Surfactants molecules are made in such a way that there is no downward pull on them. Also they decrease the downward pull on nearby water molecules. This results in reduced surface tension.
