I picked up a Beretta 81 a bit ago and I love it. Been looking at the CZ50 and the Zastava 70 as a single stack companion. I was leaning toward the CZ, and this video helped confirm that choice.

I have these 3, just got the M70 today from rGuns, it looks unissued. I also have a CZ27 and a FEG AP32, The FEG is very well made (I have an FEG in .380 and 9x18 as well) I love them all but the Beretta is the most fun to shoot due to weight and capacity.

😁😂🤣🤣 pardon me for laughing. When you first describe the Beretta 81, you say 'this is the earliest (incomprehensible word?)'... what word did you make up? It sounded like incandention? What does that word mean? You may have meant incarnation? Mixed with invention? Good enough review though, nice pistols👍😎😉 P.S. you managed to get the word Kill in there aswell.. keep the 81, you love it.. nearly as much as i do🤪

Finally got around to checking this out and yeah……. Pretty sure I meant to say incarnation. This is what I get for making videos on a whim with no editing in one take. Doesn’t help that I can’t talk! Lol. And thank you! I wish the 81 was still in the $200 price range ☹️

BrowncoatNerd got one of the plain 81s from Clasic Firearms. Late in the game. They told me they were down to less than 10% of the shipment right before this health scare thing hit. I ordered later than that. Maybe a month later? Probably I’m guessing 5% of the shipment was left at that time approximately. The one I received look better than a bunch of hand select pistols people were showing on KZitem. Extra mag had never even been loaded. The only silver on the pistol is along the straight edge of mag that came in the pistol .the pistol it self barely shows any holes to wear. Appeared to be a lefty’s gun look like brand new grips I had just been put on it before it turned in.

BrowncoatNerd holster wear is what I meant below.spell correct did that I guess. & yes a good 32 isn’t just better than a sharp stick like they say about 22 all the way up to 9 & beyond. Think the average person that watch all these guns & shooting senerios ( where’s spell correct when you need it?!?)Think too much. I m 50 I’ve had 3 maybe 4 times in my entire life that I may have thought about pulling my gun out. 1 of those times, had a oold!iverJohnson (sp?)top break da only 32 revolver in my pocket.no holster ever, was living in a neighborhood I didn’t belong because of proximity to work & it was inexpensive.that first time,I was drunk & didn’t have time & shouldn’t be carrying a loaded gun,DRUNK & out at night in that neighborhood doing what I was doing. Wound up getting pushed down with 2 drug dealers threatening to kill my stupid ass .stole little bit of $ I had on me. Didn’t feel the gun in my thick leather jacket.thank god. The jacket is a Harley jacket.got it in 94 on sale for almost 500.still wearing it. 26 years old & just getting really broken in good.side story. Went trough roadblock once .had a bunch of ammo, mainly 22 ,in floreboard of my truck 4-5 years into owning that jacket.small golf “village “foxfire NC.had & has always had own private police.was a father son 2 man operation at that time.he knew I lived there, says “where’s the gun that goes with those bullets??”.got me out frisked me ,same revolver was in my pocket.id forgot I had it on me. Till next day. You get it..Thick jacket.anywho the drug dealer neighbors, didn’t think to steal my jacket for some reason. I was so scared I peed involuntarily.only time that happened. I don’t drink obsessively & constantly any more.cant remember last time I was buzzed.2 Nd of the 2 times, same neighborhood ,was walking to the store,2 blocks, had purebred Belgium malimior(sp again??)a handsome shepherd that a guy that lived in a flop house down the road had to go back to prison & left the barely full grown, maybe stolen, dog in the fenced backyard while I was at work.sticky note on gate said “ violated probation, got to got to prison, take care of my dog “.Himi.the Shepard died about 6 months ago. Old age. Had him put down.back to 2 Nd time, gen 3 glock 33 357,legally concealed in galco fletch.(bought that gun new with factory night sights from ballistic article in gun magazine.a paper magazine ,good oll days,HATED SHOOTING THAT HANDCANNON.& expensive!!!dreaded flinching that blocky plastic glocks trigger every time.but had it at least but scumbags walking around at night around there would cross to other side of the road to stay away from that dog. I am fairly certain, even untrained,he would have instinctively torn someone up if they even stepped towards me with any aggressive vibe going on. No problem at store & I wasn’t drunk. Getting milk if memory serves. Standing in line to pay & pop pop. Convenient store door exploded & pack of chips just over my left shoulder exploded too.close .inch 2 maybe.grabbed little girl between me and spot I picked to get cover.realized it wasn’t best spot. End of counter.if a robbery guy would have been coming that way. Reached out ace grabbed pineapple juice. Big can .was thinking throw at head. Glock on hip & forgot. Young, very minimal training to get ccp.ccl. Whatever they were calling it that year. The test was open book and I used glock 17 for 25 shot test. Alone in first and last indoor range session ever. Took it back to the register and he signed my paper. A gimmie . Probably still the same. And that’s OK. It’s up to the individual. I’d like to think in a high stress situation I’d do better . I know I would. Can’t believe I lived past 25. 35 tops . Somebody was looking out for me back then. Still is. Figured I’d share. Just remembered that ridiculous part of my life for some reason. Lived in that neighborhood for two years to save some money I wound up drinking and spending on women. The rest I wasted..harhardehar.. but seriously. Both those guns coincidentally were stolen. 10 years apart . Not related. Only two I’ve ever had stolen actually. Both times it was an inside job. Son of a friend and brother of a friend.. both were reported. Miss the little revolver that I couldn’t hit the side of a barn with.Won it in a game of poker. Not even worth 100 bucks and liked it and miss it way more than that $600+ Glock. I better decisions these days & way better aim. S&W 66-2 with kore,Garrett industries stx 150 I think it was. ..great OWB holster by the way. Check them out. Been into revolvers ever since that damn glock. enough have a good day

Picked up a Beretta 81, CZ70, and FEG AP in .32 over the past year. Got a great deal on the CZ for $150, with some holster wear, but great shape internally, and no import marks, because it had really awful home-made plywood grips. Got two sets of CZ grips online - 70 for originality, but use 50 grips on the pistol as I prefer the 50s style and comfort. I gambled on the Beretta from Classic, with no hand select, and received a near perfect example. It would be my choice if I decide to carry a .32.

George M I am familiar with the issues on the CZ 52s firing pin. But I haven’t heard of those issues with the 50. But the metallurgy on the 50 definitely isn’t top notch. So I wouldn’t say it’s a stretch if it did have the same issues as the 52.
