Correction to the video I say at 1:10 that the mags hold five rounds, however they hold six.

Yeah was cold enough. This footage is actually from last year. One thing about the cold is that one is more likely to have the range all to yourself.

Yes, very consistent velocity. It must have been very good quality manufacture to start with. I know how it's been stored for about 1/2 it's life as it's been in an ammo can in my basement for that time. As for the other 1/2 while it was presumably in Spain it must have been in a nice cool warehouse.

@@314299 I've got a Astra M1921 made in 1936/7, and a Star Modelo A Super from 1950. No Destroyer, unfortunately. Looks like I still have 17 boxes from 1962, Nine from the early '50's, six post war '40's, and another eight war time '40's.

Interesting gun, I almost picked one up a few years ago when they were everywhere for a decent price. The only reason I didn't was the strange ammo but I hear there are some in 9x19.

I thought they sold a bunch of Destroyers in the US of A. As for the laws/proposed laws there has been some movement due to grass roots pressures and a lot of the proposed stuff has apparently been withdrawn. Suggest you check out the CCFR (firearmrights.ca) to keep up with what is going on. Discussing such here is just "preaching to the choir".

I have always liked the Destroyer. Not sure what is so appealing about it but they sure are neat. I think my RCBS 9mm luger dies can also load 9mm Largo so with the proper brass that would be an extremely cheap rifle to shoot with a 124 grain hand cast bullet.
@314299
Жыл бұрын
I have heard of folks using 9mm Luger dies but the Luger round is tapered while the Largo is much more straight sided. I do my Largo reloading using a set of Hornady 38 Super dies and they seem to work just fine. They are indeed a cheap little carbine to shoot - if you can get primers for a reasonable price!
