If you are a Jamaican and a Maroon watching this video, the name Acheampong is what you called Acampon one of the leaders among Nanny, Kwadwo or Cujoe and Quao who led the maroon to defeat the British army and gain their freedom even before the Haitian revolution this is where the name comes from, it is an Akan name. Acampon day is celebrated every year in Jamaica, little education for you. The name is pronounced Acheampong and NOT Acampon. All the four leaders have Akan names, Nana, Kwadwo or Cujoe and Quao are all Akan names.

I think it’s Akropong rather meaning “Big Town” There are so many towns in Ghana named Akropong. Asante-Akropong, Akuapem-Akropong, Wassa-Akropong.... and so many others. And for names... we have so many ending in “pong” which means big example Frimpong, Acheampong (like his name), Amaniampong etc. Also other towns like Mampong etc.

Botanical name for prekse is Tetrapleura tetraptera. The health benefits are Prekese is well known as a medicinal plant throughout Africa. It is cooked in soup and fed to mothers to prevent post-partum contraction. It is also used to prevent certain types of ulcers, to inhibit the growth of bacteria, as an anti-microbial, to reduce hypertension, to manage asthma, and to promote blood flow.

Kevin you have to prove yourself that you are African , Africa is in your blood you , your wife and children. Hope the people will stop calling you white man just because you're half white doesn't make you white man findvit fascinating that in Ghana they like to refer to light skin people as white, forgetting to know that in West Africa we have very light skinned people who are not mixed with no white people.

Your family came to Ghana 🇬🇭 apart from trying to find your roots. You came and saw people in need and decided to help the local sufferers - definitely born for a purpose besides just showcasing Ghana 🇬🇭. How on earth do those women manage to carry such heavy loads on their heads with some sort of damage being done to their heads. I know it their culture to have mainly women carrying the loads. I could never ever see my wife or girlfriend carrying such heavy loads without me filling guilty. That lady looked so disappointed when you told her that you already had a wife. She was about to set up Kevin. Lol 😝 Thanks once again for a very interesting vlog Kevin. Kevin please buy the Prekese if you can. You can just cut it up and put into bottle and add water or liquor to it and leave its nutrient to dissolve into it by leaving it standing and covered for at least a week before starting to drink it bit by bit everyday. Really healthy. This is another way of having Prekese other than putting it in your soups all the time. If you prefer soups you just boil the prekese in there, you can take it out and rinse and re-use it in another cooking. So please buy this when in the market again.
