After conquering a defiant city, the Mongols would often force the survivors into an open area. They would remove anyone of value--artisans, merchants, administrators, etc. Young beautiful women were also often speared to serve at the pleasure of the khan and princes. The remaining people were counted, then that number was divided by the number of Mongol soldiers present. Each soldier would be given an order to slaughter that many people to exterminate the group. The Mongols were truly ruthless

Such small percentage on genetic tests is just as likely to be due to error
@OstblockLatina
3 ай бұрын
You're most likely reading the test wrong. If it points to any other country than yours, it means a person that might be related to you to some extent lives in that country, not that you stem from that country. And it doesn't say anything about that person's ethnicities, as many countries have several, it's just that this person physically resides there. Also, a result of 0,2% is most likely a statistical error, resulting from poor database of the test subjects from certain world parts.

at the time horses were the best source of travel and sending messages between cities and leaders, so it makes a lot of sense when you consider that. Communication and travel are key elements in waging war and empire administration. also in most battles, the mongol army just used the same cheese strat to win and it just kept working. Feign retreat, bait enemy army out of castle, win. Its that easy.

Alchemy was really the precursor to science. The hadn't formed the scientific method, and the process of experimenting and testing was not guided in the way it is today. But all of alchemy wasn't trying to make gold. Alchemists were trying to transform things for the better. Back in the day alchemy and chemistry were overlapping.

Intelligent Christians created scientific method credit is due there. Alchemy was odd. More occult
@janerkenbrack3373

@@IsraelCountryCube You might as well say Intelligent Humans created the scientific method. The scientific revolution occurred at a time when being a Christian was mandatory for people in Europe. You can hardly identify them as Christians as a unique condition of science, when their other choice was the Inquisition. Further, sciences were explored for many centuries prior to Christianity, and there was also an Islamic Golden Age, where science was advanced considerably. Calling alchemy "occult" is a red herring. The practice occurred across all religions, and apart from some isolated practices, was just what they saw as science of their time.
