Great work! Suspend drifting is one of our favorite ways to fish the James. You make the planer board drift look easy.

That technique looks like a handful when your by yourself, but it’s definitely worth it! At what speed do you feel is too fast for this method??

What's your top speed on your Protege? I seen Spencer said his would do 45 but seen 47. He also had Talons on the back, so extra weight compared to yours. Done alot of comparing and the Protege fits me the best.

I do believe those lines you mentioned is a clue your connection to the power source is not 100%. Most likely a weak ground

We fish there a lot. Good spot but head up river and there are some rock piles you can catch fish on about every drift.

Is that Humminbird Helix 9" the mega side and down image? I've got a cheaper Garmin unit and been looking to upgrade something with a better side image.

Only 40 and you had that much trouble lifting her? You obviously need less work and more fishing! lol BTW you missed all the fun, the biggest of my evergreen trees dropped across the tracks in that big storm.
