Advances in wood construction over recent decades provide a crucial opportunity to reduce the construction sector’s carbon emissions and achieve sustainable urban development.
A prime example is Derome’s industrially produced timber houses.
House modules are put together in an efficient flow using timber from the family company’s own sawmill. Once that is done, the modules are dispatched to the site where the house will stand. Over 25 volumes are produced every week, which equates to around 10 homes.
