Conceptually, I really like this guy.
He gives me a bit of a Stikfas vibe (for those of you old enough to remember). I'm always willing to check out something new and different in the world of plastic model kits, especially when it's companies producing something that isn't a retread of material others have already made.
Not a big fan of plastic on plastic joints, but I've grown accustomed to it. I grew up in the polycap era and it's been hard for me to transition away from them, modern engineering be damned.
Kit was actually really fast and easy to build. The challenge was getting everything to stay where it was supposed to!
I feel the connection points are too small. It's hard to keep things solid and in pose. Too many things are trying to touch and connect in one little spot is a recipe for trouble.
Notice how parts like to pop off on me mid- video. Maybe it's me? Maybe it's the kit?
There's a few other figures in the line, and Suyata has made quite a bit of unique material since popping up on the scene. I'd love to check out more of their stuff, but my experiences with this guy soured things a bit. It frustrates me because I love the fact that they're even bothering to do stuff like this!
Maybe Sparkletrout will have better luck with the extra figure included I gave him to build...
