Love the bike, just got the same one yesterday! I was hoping you could help me find a back rest/sissy bar for the passenger for this thing. Not a big fan of the studs but finding anything for this seems very hard. Appreciate the help

I bought a 2016 model just like yours..I just want to point out that I like the windshield as is because you feel the wind on your chest and yet it protects the face. Your bag in the front probably deviates the wind. I had a windshield with lower guards on my Intruder and it was not as pleasant. The wind should come on your chest in order to feel the joy of freedom riding.I added the passenger footrests which were a little pricy and I added crashbars and the combo passenger backrest with baggage support. These were options that I chose and its OK to make these optional otherwise the bike would be more expensive. Your video is quite interesting nevertheless, but remember that Suzuki could have added a few more things but the price would be also affected. That is my opinion and I can respect yours.....:)

Great video brother I just bought the same bike 1 week ago a 2013 with only 2200 miles on it, the bike is basically brand new and I love it as I moved up from the C50 myself. Lots of power and torque I'm going to add the factory blacked out passenger backrest, luggage rack, passenger floorboards and maybe upgrade the Breather Element to something that will pass a bit more air. I'm really happy with the purchase and looks like you are too.

Thanks for the nice comment :-) Yes I absolutely love this bike! If you want my advice, add the TRE (Timing Retardant Eliminator). BEST upgrade you can do! It's only about $40 on eBay ;-)

Thanks! Interesting observations... If i got your right, you had c50... I think to :upgrade" from c50 to c90... can you share you thoughts about riding dynamics... Does c90 have the same character? And what is c90's fuel consumption in real life?

Hi mate :-) Yes you're right, I used to own a 2007 Suzuki C50c. So first of all, I loved my C50, but after a while, I found it under powered. So the differences between the C50 and C90 look wise is not major at all. If course the C90 is slightly wider, slightly heavier, more powerful, bigger tank, and taller. So the good thing about it being taller is better ground clearance. Handling wise, I prefer the C90 as its heavier and bigger so it feels more planted in the road but it still remains very nimble. The C90 has tons of torque which the C50 lacked especially riding 2 up. Hope I answered your questions and was able to help you decide? :-) Cheers

I've been considering getting a c90 boss after having a c50 for many years. Did you ever get the peeling paint issues resolved? I've been looking at used bikes 2014-2016 and have noticed several from 2014 with the same paint defect on the exhaust pipes.

Hi mate, what I ended up doing was spray painting the part of the exhaust where the paint chipped off and out surprisingly worked really well. I ended up trading the C90T BOSS for a V-Strom 1000, which I eventually traded again for my current bike, 2016 Harley Road King, and I've never been happier with a motorcycle 😉

Signs you've found an awesome bike: when the "dislikes" are pretty much solved by accessories. That's pretty dang cool! I remember watching a review where a guy started off saying, "in this video, I'm going to talk about the things I hate about this bike." and then 20 minutes of scenic riding -- with no words. In a different way, you convey the same idea! OUt of curiosity, since this video is almost 5 years old...did you find decent deflectors? Are you still happy with the bike? Cheers!

Thanks for your comments. No i never found deflectors for that bike. But I no longer own it. I traded it in 2017 for a new V-Strom 1000. I now own the v-strom and a Boulevard C50.

@@froggynz5315 The C50 is one that i've been looking at/drooling over....I'm thinking of taking the average of your bikes, and getting a vulcan 900 :-)

@@froggynz5315 I'm wondering if that's a size thing; I'm "vertically challenged." Okay, I'm short. (5'7") - if you're taller, perhaps you like the bigger frame for your bigger frame? It makes me happy that there are so many differences available to scratch all these itches! I look at the Vulcan 1700, and think "that's too much bike for me." I'd feel like a flea with my own dog!

@@just-dl I'm 5'11 and easily flat foot on the c50. I've never sat on a vulcan 900 so I wouldn't know what's like. You should try the c50 before you decide buying.

Is there a lot of difference between the C50 and C90? The C90 has a lot more weight so do you notice the power difference? The ratio weight/power is not that different, is it?

Been riding 2+ yrs without ABS had to make 5 EMERGENCY stops and have yet to twist the front tire. Locked the back and fuck I hate that I've had to but abs is a luxury not an necessary. Remember, you can regulate the brakes manually and should be practicing EB at least once a month as a precaution. "Ride like you're a target"
